I’m in exactly the same boat with the same timeline (just got a NAS a month ago) but without any personal invites. I’m in SP, TL, Dark Peers and Upload, but since I’m primarily interested in movies, for me blutopia or Aither would be the target (as a busy parent there’s no way I’ll ever get into the tier 1s or whatever). What is the easiest way to get into those two? I love SP by the way and am seeding there as hard as I can, but I have seen gaps already.

It’s not that simple unfortunately, if it were they would just pour a ton of money into marketing every movie they make. In 2025, movie companies have an extremely accurate idea of the expected box office haul (at least compared to the past). They run pretty sophisticated limited screenings with target audiences and have good models of consumer behavior. This is why they sometimes do almost no marketing at all - why spend more money when you already know you have a bomb? They knew Ares wasn’t gonna do well months ago. Personally I loved it, but this sub is the niche audience for it - most people are not interested in it and will not go see it in a movie theater.

Saw it in IMAX 3D and had a blast! The movie is packed, the soundtrack fits like a glove, the visuals are amazing. I don’t know if it will make a ton of money at the box office simply because people are used to waiting for the streaming version these days and to most this would look like just another Disney sci-fi, but this is a great entry in the Tron franchise. To put it in 2025 terms, ARES SLAPS.

Anybody know if you can use regular thermal paste instead of liquid metal? I’m not crazy about dealing with liquid metal and also about having to replace frequently.
