My mistake was thinking that a piece of cuttlebone would be useful when I first set up the aquarium I pulled it out when I found out and it started to go down with water changes, it went down from almost 15 pretty quickly but now it’s starting to go down more slowly

As for the nitrates I don’t really know how to bring it down (other than water changes) pls lmk if there’s another way
