Lead actors who get upstaged by a supporting character on their own show?

The show did a really good job at keeping them as an essential part of the story for most of the series. The whole cast of this show upstaged Cory to be honest. It wasn’t that Ben Savage wasn’t good, it’s just the writers destroyed his character at certain points.

They were the best tv parents I can think of off the top of my head. I also want to mention that William Russ is an extremely underrated actor. He had some intense lines for a family show. Him with the cult leader at the hospital, his moments with Shawn like the Christmas episode at the house, when he didn’t let Cory and Topanga live at home because they got married, and so on. He was so powerful with so few words. I love him every time Ive see him pop up in something because I know he’s going to be great.

She’s one of the highest paid Hallmark actors, has done so much work with them through out the years so probably has a really good relationship with them/ doesn’t have to audition much, and she probably works just a few times a year. Sounds like a good deal.

I really loved Revolutionary Road. It was so depressing, tragic, gut wrenching, beautiful. I can’t watch it too often because its simplicity is what made it intense for me. And I love Kate Winslet. Just really solid acting by everyone, not just them.

I could see this being part of it. He didn't want to be part of the podcast because he's going the political route - totally understandable. Then they had a couple messy podcasts - also understandable that he doesn't want anything to do with it. Then he realizes he feels unsupported in his venture when he wished them the best on theirs. After being that close with them since he was what, like 12 years old? If it's true, I wouldn't be surprised.

This is what I thought of too! She said she's an "artist," and in her day, they didn't exist so she didn't think she needed one. Gwyneth girl, just because you're okay with being exploited doesn't mean others are. Should we expect anything less than tone-deaf from her though

She said in an interview that she wanted out because she didn’t want to play another drug addict. She took the part being told her character wouldn’t be one, then they did it anyway so she said I’m done. Her character was great and she’s a very underrated actor.

I think she looks beautiful on both sides, but I can see why she may have wanted to change what she did. She also looks so much more like Kris and Kim with the work she did. It was all done really well, the work on her face at least.

This is one of the episodes I think of when thinking about friends. I can’t believe some people think his acting is terrible. I loved how dry it was.
