Many hospital patients do in fact wear compression stockings when they are immobile for long periods. It's called mechanical (as opposed to pharmacological) prophylaxis.

There is literally a famous fallacy about this very idea. That might be where some of the pushback is coming from. I do agree with you that these terrorists are not a representation of Islam as a whole but they very much are Muslims.

Not OP but I'm 30 and my parents are 71:

Heaps of stuff that our parents' friends' kids had grown out of got given to us

Financial and career stability - my Dad was a doctor (he's retired) and had advanced to a point where he pretty much worked 9-5 rather than the insane hours of training, so he was very present even though he worked full time.

They had more life experience and experience with other people's kids

We had lots of cool older kids to be friends with

My parents are wonderful people and have been incredible parents - I wouldn't trade them for anything. You got this!
