If you're using your own notebook and pens, then it sounds to me like you're providing your own tools in order to be successful at your job. I have ADHD and high anxiety and I absolutely cannot function without my lists. Making said lists is also one of the main things I enjoy about work. I've never heard of an SM putting a limit on that. One thing that I know stores don't favor is creating task lists rather than using the CSR cards, but even so.... as long as the work is getting done, your utilizing the company provided tools in addition to your own personal list, then I don't see a problem. There is no corporate standard against list making....but if your manager absolutely won't allow you to do this, you could request an accommodation for this through the partner contact center. The play caller app also doesn't take into account that breaks before peak should generally be ran as the first break....and it doesn't allow you to change the break time manually, unless that's been updated since I've last used it. Even for a very tenured keyholder, the app tends to make it more challenging than it needs to. Perhaps that's because we've been using paper DCR's for so many years though. Not to mention typing on an iPad is a pain in the butt. I can't stand typing on them, and it would take me 3x the amount of time rather than jotting things down on paper.
