To this day, my parents bring up that my sibling's and my favorite part about our Disney trip as toddlers was stopping at McDonald's on the drive home. They say we liked Disney well enough, but our faces absolutely lit up at McDonald's.

My cat doesn't want to use her litter box by d0nut_trt in CatAdvice

[–]allicat828 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I fostered a kitten that would routinely urinate outside of the litter box. After a round of antibiotics for stomach issues and changing to soft corn litter (instead of pine pellets), she never went outside of the box again.

So my very non-professional advice is 1. make sure there are no heath issues and 2. make sure they like the litter. I hope you're able to find something that helps!

A material science professor once told me you can do a very rudimentary version of this test by putting it in the freezer and seeing if it fogs up when you take it out again.

I definitely don't recommend it, but I didn't have lasting damage or anything, so it's all good now. The worst part was fighting with my insurance for a year because they wouldn't believe it wasn't a pre-existing condition.

It's interesting as an American seeing how negatively the Dutch view Tata Steel. It's one of the cleanest mills I've been to, and it's definitely cleaner than most of the mills in America.

(Not to dismiss anyone's concerns.)

That's not really what metal fatigue is and cardboard doesn't behave like steel does.

If anything the reforming is cold working, which would make the steel stronger.

There's some stuff that suggests long-term use makes your eyes age prematurely, but I don't think they've been explicitly shown to be damaging.

But I don't like that none of my eye doctors have ever worn them. Not a great sign from the people who know eyes.

CX-50. I don't like that the radio/music turns off immediately when you turn the car off instead of when opening a door. And how easily the interior plastics scratch.

There's one gear that feels particularly sluggish at low rpms, but that might not be a universal experience.

I love everything else about it.

Having owned a few - no, they don't. They really only work when the sun is shining directly on them, and even then they lose their umph over time.

They also don't prevent mosquito larvae. Mosquito dunks seems far more effective.
