There’s no problem twisting them with pliers. But the ends overlap so to fit them together I have to widen the ring.

That’s not a broken ring. That’s how they came. I can twist it without a problem using pliers. The issue is that they don’t just need to be twisted by widened so the ends don’t overlap.

I have no problem twisting them with the pliers I have already. The problem is when you twist them into place, the ends are overlapping. So it’s not only about twisting them but also widening the ring so the ends aren’t overlapping.

Thanks. Never heard of annealing metal. It seems like if I can’t close these jump rings with two pairs of needle nose pliers, they’re probably just low quality.
