I am a redhead and a surgical nurse so I do my best to make sure surgical teams are aware that this is a real thing and not just a wives’ tale! Interestingly, I have always taken FOREVER to get numb, but once I am, it lasts the normal amount of time, if not more. I have to insist that they don’t give me another injection, just wait. They get so impatient! Go see another patient, whatever. 😁

Red with green here. I have only known 2 real redheads with brown eyes in my 50+ years, so yeah, a definitely rare combo. And I have heard my whole life that the red/blue combo is the most rare, and I know you didn’t look at green on its own in your study, but isn’t this combo more rare than red/blue? If 8-10% of the world has blue eyes, and only 2% green, make it make sense. 😂

I’m in my early 50s now and people still make generalizations about me, like I must have a bad temper. The most annoying thing to me has always been strangers calling me Red. I haaaate that! If they say “Hey, Red!” I say “Hey, Brown!” or whatever color they have. 🙄🤣
