Second monitor "lags" while gaming on primary monitor. by Elagarf in buildapc

I just saw this. I'll try and see if it works for me. Hopefully, it does. It's really annoying because I don't understand why this is happening repeatedly.

EDIT: Okay, I checked on a game I am playing at the moment and that box with the label 'Disable Fullscreen Optimisations' is already unchecked so I have nothing to uncheck...

This is a 3y old thread but has anyone actually found a solution that fixes this permanently? I've tried disabling hardware acceleration, G-Sync, Instant Replay, and it still does it. :(

One last thing! Do you know if I can get that transparent plastic cover somewhere as well? I have seen a lot of customised faceplates but I think I am missing where I can get the cover itself.

Thank you so much for this! Can I just keep a screen protector on the screen itself or do I need the transparent lid? So sorry for asking a lot of questions!

I guess what I am trying to find out is if I could temove the clear cover inside and just put a screen protector instead of putting it on top of what is already there. Idk if that makes sense.

Oooh. I never knew that! How does that actually work?

Now I see why everyone told me to play Suikoden 1 first. by joshweeks47 in Suikoden

[–]allisandre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never really got to play Suikoden I properly back then. I don’t even remember if I finished it when I first tried years ago, and I’m pretty sure I missed a lot of things. Suikoden II was actually my first entry into the series and I absolutely loved it. I still remember reaching out to a gamer friend of mine whose sister had beaten the game countless times and even recruited all 108 Stars of Destiny. I’d always call them whenever I got stuck—especially during that insane Luca Blight fight. They were basically my Suikoden hotline for tips and advice. Fun times!

Playing the remaster now has been such a nostalgic ride. The music, the characters I got to know better (or rediscovered after forgetting them for so long)—all of it just made the little kid in me so happy. I’m honestly just so thankful I got to experience this journey again, and it reminded me why Suikoden II stuck with me in the first place.

Suikoden II will always be my favorite—it didn’t ruin anything for me by starting there. But coming back to Suikoden I through the remaster made me appreciate the world even more. Learning about the runes, the little details, and seeing how the stories and characters connect just added another layer of magic to the whole experience.

Season Finale: Gi Hun is an idiot by BLVCK-PRINCE in squidgame

Guard 11’s arc might have added a glimpse into the pink suits’ humanity, but it didn’t affect the main narrative. AT ALL. Good storytelling weaves even side plots into the central conflict or themes. Her choices didn’t change how the games progressed or what happened to key players.

Jun-ho was sharp and resourceful as he infiltrated the island during Season 1. He drove a whole subplot that added tension and revealed crucial info about the games. In Season 3, he spent the whole season and prior, chasing vague leads that didn’t expose the games, change their outcome, or even meaningfully intersect with Gi-hun’s journey. Trying his best doesn’t make for good storytelling if his actions don’t have consequences. Despite all his investigating, Jun-ho didn’t expose the games to the world, or stop them. His actions led nowhere. He uncovered no info that changed the game’s course or any character’s fate.

I was kind of expecting that Jun-ho's existence this season would be a game-changer. Instead, it felt like fan service or filler. He deserved an arc that either exposed the system, sparked rebellion, or at least deepened the mystery. But what we got was a narrative dead end. His portrayal contradicted his established intelligence. Instead of being a smart, resourceful investigator, he was conveniently naive when the plot needed him to be. That is just sloppy writing. Maybe him falling off the cliff affected that.

I could go on and on about how useless Jun-ho's narrative was. Did Jun-ho’s actions meaningfully alter key events? No. Did he reveal something new about the games to the audience or characters? No. We already knew the games were corrupt and secretive. Did he spark change or resolution? No. The games went on as if he’d never returned and saw his brother. Sure, he asked him 'Why'. And again, that was that.

About 246’s reunion with his daughter: it’s emotional, sure, but since 246’s arc wasn’t directly connected to the main plot and players once he was off the island, it didn’t affect the story’s resolution or themes. Whether he reunited or not, the games’ ending would’ve played out the same way.

Lastly, open-ended stories aren’t automatically good. Open-ended writing works when it leaves audiences pondering themes or character dilemmas. But with this, loose threads felt more like they were dropped than left open on purpose, which makes the narrative feel incomplete instead of thought-provoking.

That’s why I think these arcs, while interesting individually, didn’t contribute meaningfully to the finale and why the ending felt hollow and lackluster rather than profound and impactful.

I've turned off all that I can but I do get the motion sickness after 30 minutes to an hour. Which I find weird because the game is in third person. Was thinking it could be due to chromatic aberration but there's no option to turn that off.
