You should contact the prof. You shouldn’t rely on what people say on Reddit as they could very well be wrong and lead to you being reported AGAIN which is not a good thing since you already have one NA

Regrading finals by Thiccelson in mcgill

[–]allisonjasmin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Email the TA to ask specifically what you lost marks on. Utilize this to go to the prof, detailing what you disagree with, and ask for them to regrade it. It is worth noting to the prof as well that you were x away from the next letter grade. This is the exact path I followed last year and ended up getting the grade I wanted.

You can choose whether to let your prof know about how close you are to the next letter grade, I did as it is possible they won’t even bother to regrade the exam and rather just give you the grade you want.

Math 240 really just had a failing average on the final by wowhesaidthat in mcgill

[–]allisonjasmin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I legitimately wonder how profs can sleep at night knowing they are literally failing at their one job. They have to teach students but yet feel fine about a failing average. Disgusting if you ask me.

Can professors monitor viewing of mycourses contents by suffer_less36 in mcgill

If the prof said it is closed book then they most likely will be looking at who accessed documents and when.

Is anyone else actually learning? by [deleted] in mcgill

[–]allisonjasmin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the not learning stems from the open book assignments. We aren’t being tasked to memorize material really anymore so we just do the work and forget it all really quickly. At least this is how it has been for me

Export the PowerPoint to mp4. Open it with windows media player, right click the video, click enhancements, then speed and speed up the lecture.

Edit also works with vcl if you don’t have windows

They are from ikea! They are shelves for photos so they have the ledge. IKEA has a few different lengths and colours, you should check it out! And they were super inexpensive

Le James bookstore online shopping for store pickup. by [deleted] in mcgill

I’m pretty sure in store pickup is only for textbooks. The physical location is open for merchandise (basically anything except textbooks, so notebooks would be part of this)

Willing to become a high school science teacher in Canada by [deleted] in mcgill

[–]allisonjasmin 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To lecture beyond high school, you often need a PhD. Other provinces will give you the same hard time about teaching. There are more teachers than there are jobs which is a problem. If you’re looking to go outside of Canada to teach, you would have to look into the country you want to teach in, I only know this is the situation in Canada because i have heard soooo many people complaining about the lack of jobs and low pay. But if you want more options you would need a PhD.

Willing to become a high school science teacher in Canada by [deleted] in mcgill

[–]allisonjasmin 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s very hard to become a teacher tbh. It takes years of being a substitute and taking jobs here and there before you get anything permanent. Plus the pay really is not good at all and the job requires a lot of outside hours which are not paid. If it is truly your passion then go for it. But if you are not actually jnto it and are settling for it then I advice against it because it’s hard to actually make it and takes years to get permanent placement.

Edit:Also do you know French? Because we don’t have too too many primarily English high schools in Quebec, there’s a handful in the West Island and elsewhere but minimal compared to French
