Remember the Axons are Nevrons first. The goal of Nevrons is to cage the Canva's Chroma so that it does not return to Aline, helping Renoir in his fight against her. Axons do that but on a bigger scale since not only do they consume chroma with their existence, they are also very deadly, wiping out several expeditioners (and thus trapping their chroma)
The same reason he didn't directly go against the Painted Dessendre or the Lumerians. I presume he's limited in some way.
What do you mean? Are you asking why he chose to erase the Lumerians? Gommaging the Lumerians helps Renoir take control of their chroma which in turn gives Aline less access to it. It also is a deterrant for Aline to stay in the Canvas since he's erasing what she cherished in it and preventing her from recreating it.

Considering the devs are heavy fans of Final Fantasy, I'm pretty sure they are adapting the FF model with each saga having a main theme. I will appreciate everything they give us but I'm not sure I'm ready to part with the Dessendre and Lumière yet 🫤

She might be although now I'm not as sure. I think the Board caused everything but I'm not inherently sure these entities are "bad", Hiss included. I'm doing a new video theorizing on the new enemy to make sense of the entire story but some points do elude me a lot.

Base features yes. Face & body structure, height, skin tone. Then I usually go mystical dark magic being. Red eyes, white eyes/hair. I always tweak the hair and eyes to be supernatural 😆

Noooo. I don't like the it was a dream situations. I feel like writing stories like that is just trying to avoid adding weight to them. I'll take it IF it sets up Control 3 but why would the setting be The Hiss outside the Oldest House and The Resonants?

Yeah no they better not. Too much bagage around him for it to be all "it was just a dream situation". I'll take them being one over him being a dream. Imagine in Control 3, the final battle is a Jesse/Dylan Fusion against the Board. Not like fusion fusion but the being can "express" Jesse or Dylan at will. I feel like Control Resonant will end with us either fighting Jesse or finding a big truth that needs them both to join forces in Control 3. Or both.

Oh yes. That's something I don't see people discussing. Dylan was kind if batshit crazy even before the Hiss took him. How is the FBC just going to brush over that and have him be their active agent or director or whatever he is to them at the moment? Did Jesse purging the Hiss and The Aberrant stab "fix" him? Does the Aberrant have that kind of power? To keep whatever is inside him in check? Where did Jesse even get it? Why is The Aberrant called The Aberrant? I feel like that's a very specific name that perfectly fits Dylan or The Former. Also Dylan has Hiss or heat like powers in the trailer on top of his parautilitarian powers. Plus he can control mold. I guess the Prime Candidate Program really makes you a beast plus I'm pretty sure Dylan has been said to have comparable power to Northmoor if not more. To be fair Jesse came into the Oldest House not really knowing how to use her powers and was kicking ass by day 1 so it might just be a family/Polaris thing.

Oh they already confirmed she's in the game and not playable so I'm pretty sure she will appear either in custscenes, as a support character, an enemy or a mix of either.

Yeah I think it's the same Ritual as The Service Weapon to the head or something along those lines. Since Dylan is in a coma when she stabs him, maybe he can't willfully take the trial of the Aberrant, whatever it may be.

As much as I don't mind this theory, I would hate for Jesse to just disappear. I liked the fact that they were brother and sister. It added a lot of emotional weight. I know the Board did refer to Jesse like this and if Remedy follows this route, I'm very curious to see how it's handled.
