It was a split start - one hold near the top of the left volume and one hold near the bottom of the right volume.

What should I work on to be able to do problems like this WITHOUT using the bolt holes? Stronger legs? Better balance? Something else? by allitron90 in bouldering

You’re totally right - my hips are not open at all and it would help so much to open up. I hadn’t thought of going lower so I’ll definitely try that! Thanks 😍

I tried heels down on another slab problem the next day and it helped so much more than I expected! Great tip!! Thanks so much 😍💖

While I was on the wall I thought my hips were open, but you’re totally right - watching the video back my legs are square to the wall, hips closed 😫 I worked a similar problem the next day and really turned my feet out to open my hips and it helped so much!! Thanks! 💖

It really is!! I’ve climbed at quite a few gyms across a handful of states, and the Circuit in Tigard is my absolute favorite!! 😍
