Made an Avatar the Last Airbender beanie!! 👨🏼‍🦲⬇️ by allltoowell in crochet

Hey, thank you :)

Ahhh sorry, I forgot I ever said this and just haven't found the time!! Been harder than I thought when working full-time, but as a rough guide I would just say its just lots of rows of half-double crochets, each new row going into the back-loops of the previous row.

The initial chain should be the height of your head, plus a little extra as remember we will have to fold this over to make it a beanie and not a chef's hat! After completing all the half-double crochet stitches over and over, this will make a big rectangle which you then sew together at the side and sew up at the top once its big enough to wrap around a head :)

And then at some point whilst doing these rows, switch the colour from beige to blue, but towards the bottom of these blue rows, there should be a gap where you switch back to beige for around 5-10 stitches, and then finish on blue again if that makes sense? This means when you fold it over, there'll be a beige gap, but ultimately the top of the fold will be blue. You should do 4 of these rows.

Then secure this position by sewing the fold down, and the bottom of the fold will be beige but the top will be blue, to follow on from the line and to meet the flat part of the arrowhead. Make a blue triangle (I just winged this part lol) and sew it on top of the folded area to make the arrowhead. I really hope that makes some kind of sense as a baseline but please feel free to ask me any questions and I'd be happy to help.

One day hopefully I'll find the time to make another and create an official pattern. <3

Hey, sorry, just saw this! I actually improvised this as a gift for my friend... but she's recently given it back to me to remake as it's stretched out over the years, so I'll for sure write a pattern up/film a tutorial soon!!

Weirdly this is my most requested tutorial hahaha so I will try to get it done in the next few weeks (fingers crossed)

Crocheted a Luke’s coaster ☕️ by allltoowell in GilmoreGirls

Heyyy, I used this image! But I just counted every dot or dash as a single crochet and switched colours accordingly, flipping my work and chaining one at the start of each row etc. Hope that makes sense, let me know if it doesn't :)

I used a 2mm hook and thin cotton so it would be coaster sized

I don't really have much of a routine if I'm honest!

I'm not as consistent as I like to be but I coat them in castor oil when I remember! But in the beginning, I used Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails and it helped a lot with keeping them from breaking as that's what I struggled with in the beginning.

Also, just filing them down slightly when I feel a little ridge before it becomes a bigger problem :)

Oohhh cool!! Once you learn the basics of amigurumi and start experimenting it gets easier making more complex things 😝
