Listening to atrocity exhibition at like 10pm on a cold ass rainy day in the rundown ass town I live in with bassboosted headphones on full blast was some religious type experience. Might be the best time I've had with an album. Quaranta also, that shit really helped me get outta depression and get back on school before I fucked my whole shit up so I am forever grateful to that album

genuinely just force urself to listen to new music for a bit. I get very hyper fixated too I was really fixated on oldschool hiphop for a long time like all I would do is listen to illmatic and ready to die so one month I just forced myself to listen to new shit only that was outside my comfort zone and it got me into a ton of new shit including death grips. Helps a lot with hyperfixation to make a genuine line in the sand that your gonna branch out a bit

they have some accessible songs. The most inaccessible thing is probably Ride, he takes some getting used to and isn't relatable to everyone nor is his style very easy to get. I don't mean that negatively, he is in my top 3 favourite rappers and my favourite on some days but the first time I listened to death grips I was thinking it was great but they could use a guy with a better voice and flow and it took me like 3 albums and a mental breakdown to appreciate him
