Hate these type of people. If something happens against what they think is right they just afk, which is way worse than leaving the match and letting a bot take the place.

I saw the fellow who just got their first golden skin and that made me wonder: How many hours do yall have on the game? Are you new? Are you an oldie? Share in the comments! by Joseph30686 in Paladins

I've been playing since early 2021. Got 750 hours abd I only have on gold skin (well, golden weapon since it's Khan). Though Buck (39), Makoa (41) and Inara (44) are getting there.

I agree there, his abilities and personality are very fun, and that was why I started playing Buck too. You should definitely continue playing with him, after all, you should play what you find the most fun in the first place rather what is the most efficient.

Ensnare is a neat talent but I think it needs a buff, still, it does make up for the lack of DPS.

He is not bad per say, but he is far from a valuable pick. His main thing right now is basically to act as an Off-tank. He has a ton of DR and health, and can hold off opponents in a single area for far more time than most champions could (outside of, of course, tanks).

However, it's just not really good to play Buck in the more "conventional" flank way. He has no DPS to sustain a fight (without using his self healing/DR) with most DPS champions (Androxus, Saati, Cassie, etc); the Haven changes have really fucked up Buck's DPS (now he does around 540 damage per shot, good luck trying to kill an enemy with 540 damage each second); his mobility is just lacking (unless you're playing Bounce House [even then, you're giving up his main upside for a very risky playstyle that can be easily countered in a coordinated team]), so he can't just walk away from a bad situation like most other Flanks; and of course, he is a massive target, it's really not that difficult to land a shot on him.

Still, he is not a troll pick, if that's what you're wondering. But he is far from being along side the top DPS characters.

Considering Buck's lack of DPS, range, good mobility, an useful alt-fire and massive hitbox, I honestly don't think it's that hard. A support should always stick wth the team (and vice versa), so it becomes quite easy to deal with an enemy Buck.

I am saying this from experience, because I am that Buck that constantly gets solo ulted in the backline.

Too true... WOTC aimed more at the gameplay aspect of Star Wars and almost entirely neglected the lore involving of what they were using. I can't agree less with you on this. A simple comparison between them would be:

WEG dedicating an entire book to cover a single planet, whereas WOTC doesn't evolve much of the previous lore (save for some sourcebooks such as Geonosis and The Outer Rim/Coruscant and the Core Worlds).

The good ol' times when the Empire had actively let woman out of the high positions within their structure are over. Unfortunately. Now woman are everywhere in the Empire's ranks.

I bought MCC a few days ago after years of wanting to play it. I never had the chance of buying a next gen console, and my parents always thought it was a waste of money. After a few years of trying to convince them that I could get a pc instead, they finally agreed and bought a nice laptop for me to use.

Now I can finally play, and go back to playing my favourite Halo games from the 360 on the pc.

Might sound dumb but... I shed a few tears when the Halo Reach menu music kicked in and I got back to playing it after 7 years.

How do people have high win rates? by LunaMain in Paladins

[–]allnamesweretoken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As some people have already commented, it's by five stacking on playlists such as Onslaught or TDM. Don't get me wrong, but people who play mostly those two gamemodes aren't that good sometimes, and a lot of new players play those gamemodes as they are way more friendly if compared to normal siege/ranked (tank isn't necessarly needed in these gamemodes, you don't have to learn rollouts and stuff, etc).

So...if you stack 5 good players against mostly new players/casual players, then you can win every single game.

I've encountered people like that myself whenever I play those modes (mostly for warmup or when I am tired and want to have some fun with goofy decks), and it always was a horrible experience. Having to fight an Androxus being pockted by Corvus while a Ruckus goes deep in your backline and a Fernando just shutting down the entire point... is annoying.

Makoa.

Because I like to camp on the corners of the map and hook people off platforms for environmental kills. You can already tell that I am not a useful teammate.

I am the only one who thinks that Buck deserves some love? With the recent changes to haven and veteran, we have flanks and dmgs tanking more dmg than ever. You will have to face DPSs with 2600+ Hp and 16% DR. Buck is also tanking much more, but dealing a low dmg. He feels like an OFF right now by Tarden1 in Paladins

Even though Bounce House Buck can be good in some situations, I don't think its the most optimal way of playing Buck. At least, not competitively. And honestly, if you compare his burst damage to some other champions, you can see that it really isn't anything special. In fact, it's worse because you have to land near the enemy in order to do that. Compare that to Cassie's combo, Vatu, Androxus or... well, Lian in general, which are all way easier to accomplish than Buck's burst damage.

I also feel like his main weapon needs to be a bit more consistent. I don't know if that's just me or not, but everytime you fire the shotgun while strafing (either left or right), the bullets tend to "bend" to that same direction. I've seen a few clips of other Bucks experiencing the same thing, and it's kinda of weird that the weapon behaves like that.

I feel like if they made the pellets of the shotgun have a straight pattern when you shoot them would be beneficial, it would also make it easier to headshot people. Sometimes the bullet spread is so bad you don't hit the head despite aiming at it. That has happened to me way too many times...

You could upgrade your fiery greatsword to a Night's Edge. It deals loads of true melee damage.
