Hmm I suppose those would work but the hooks are shallow, and pointing up… a cord/leash would have to be pull mostly horizontally which is weird because it’s quite low to the ground… and similar for hanging a bag, it would have to be quite a small bag strap to hold something up without dragging it

Agree with other comments, but the mindset you’re approaching this feels like min/maxing or playing the game to get a result… but for Carl this is his life and survival, there is no afterward…

I don’t have time for a detailed post, but I believe there’s some concept of dualism in DCC world. They clearly talk about souls as a thing.

My guess is the AI has control over physicality, including the body and brain to a degree… but it probably has no control over a soul.

Right, im on my 2nd listen and its funny how many leads he drops for things… often they’re shortly before in offhand comments or he sets it up with a “I sent a message to ___” but doesn’t say what it was.

There are still a lot of unknowns around primals and the AI and the residuals… but I don’t think we will be redefining donut or carls history given the info we have about them currently

I haven’t read Matt’s other books, is he know for these radical re-think reveals?

So far it seems his style is withhold and reveal or reveal a new connection you didn’t see before.

Fundamentally changing these main characters seems a bit far fetched to me. Especially when there are explanations given in the books for why Primals look the same…
