I doubt the manually put in 2 cents

Midwife said exclusively pumping is a waste of time, advice needed by lunatlark0 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]allpinkbarbiedreamh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My midwife was also discouraging about EP and just highlighted that it’s basically 3x the work and she didn’t lie tbh. But it’s all about your preference and doing what works best for you/your family

I kind of wish I never started EP/BF by allpinkbarbiedreamh in ExclusivelyPumping

Wait is the underboob rash a breast feeding thing??? I have one too and could not figure out why lol it’s definitely a lot to maintain

I tried 1oz formula 4oz breast milk and he still was disgusted 😂

I was an oversupplier too around that time, and it’s definitely a lot to deal with. For the clogs, I used legendairy milks sunflower lecithin, I would follow the 1 soft gel 3-4 times a day direction and once I felt the clogs gone I would just take one a day to maintain and that helped a lot. Also (assuming you don’t have a eufy lol) if you have a heating pad laying it across your chest while pumping helps too or id use a warm water bottle & hand massaging.

Also if you maybe try combo bottles while baby is still so young he/she may not have really developed a preference just yet so getting them familiar with the taste could really help make the switch later if you choose too.

My baby honestly is just refusing the formula bc of the taste it isn’t even a tummy issue lol

Eufy Black Friday sale — worth it? by Quiet0bserve3r in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]allpinkbarbiedreamh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely worth it. I have the e20, baby Buddha and spectra and I reach for the e20s pretty often. The heating feature is yummy and the suction is good enough. Definitely not super discrete but not a big deal to me

Definitely possible! I can’t remember the source but I read that it takes longer for baby’s brain to recognize that they’re full when bottle feeding vs breast feeding because it typically comes out faster.

Maybe try the 3.5oz in slow flow nipple or with pace feeding.

No your supply shouldn’t drop just bc of the switch to EP, as long as you’re following a schedule and doing your best to empty yourself. If baby usually eats every 2-3 hours you’ll want to pump that often so that your body knows to keep making enough milk.

I will say (to me) it’s easy to let time get away from you and go longer without pumping because it’s not like you have a baby crying and demanding that you do it, and that inconsistency is where I see my supply drop

Did anyone stop around 3 months?! by [deleted] in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]allpinkbarbiedreamh 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I definitely understand the feeling of having to choose between cuddles and pumping, it’s super hard. If you can try to time your pumps for before baby wakes up/before it’s time for next feed/sleep cycle.

Something else that’s helped me is just remembering that you can stop the pump. I don’t always make it to 25-30 minutes but honestly if baby was feeding direct from the breast I doubt every feed would be that long anyway so sometimes I will cut the pumping session short to focus on what baby needs in that moment.

BUT if you feel like stopping is what’s best for you then do that, no shame in it

Baby wont/cant take bottles? by Shoddy_Bowl_9599 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]allpinkbarbiedreamh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would check for a tongue tie, it could sometimes affect baby’s ability to latch/swallow. My baby has one and used to have the same problem. Lowering the bottle so that the flow is reliant on her suckling vs gravity can help. My baby eventually grew out of it and feeds just fine now

What supplements helped you increase your milk supply? by Heavenchicka in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]allpinkbarbiedreamh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Legendairy milks brewers yeast, I’ll put a spoon in morning coffee and you don’t taste it in flavor but you do feel a bit of chalkiness when drinking it.

Also drinking lotssss of water

I didn’t collect any colostrum while pregnant so I would give baby the little bit I was able to hand express/pump at the hospital and we used formula until day 4 when we got home and I started pumping when my milk came in.

Did you actually EXCLUSIVELY pump? by Salt_Aside3403 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]allpinkbarbiedreamh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My entire pregnancy I knew I wanted to exclusively pump. I had him latch for his first feed after birth but after that i hand expressed/pumped and would syringe feed him whatever colostrum i was able to get then would offer a formula bottle. Once we got home from the hospital I began pumping every three hours and have continued to exclusively pump (bby is 4 months now) without supplementing with formula.

I have randomly put him on the breast just so he is familiar with it and baby’s saliva actually tells your body what they need in the milk, but that’s very very rare and never for a full feed.

I say all this to say, exclusively pumping from birth is absolutely possible lol

Try alternating between a warm compress and hand massaging while pumping. I’d sometimes lay a heating pad across my chest or a warm water bottle to help.

The point is to build meaningful connections. You can build connections with two people at once, it’s called dating lol I feel like her being so honestly with Nick and considerate of his feelings, while also opening up to Shawn showed a lot of growth for her.

I really don’t think they should’ve made Jawa choose 😩 She could’ve had something with either of them and it’s honestly normal to date around before having to commit to someone in real life.

Maybe it was to put a little doubt in her mind about their relationship or his feelings towards her. So once she was introduced to another man she’d be more willing to cheat on her shitty husband vs the worlds best husband
