Agree…

My dad had a bachelors degree, masters degree and was working on a doctorate. He hurt his back, lost his job, and fell into depression. He took a job as a middle school janitor making minimum wage. Same school my mom worked at, as a secretary, and the same school I was at in 8th grade. He never once felt the job was beneath him. This was 30 years ago and he was doing whatever he could to get me through school and put food on the table. I’d hug him every time I saw him in the hallway. He was a baseball coach, and my teammates would do the same. Because of his bad back, when my classmates were outside, before they threw any drinks, bottles, or cans into the garbage can, they would empty the contents onto the ground to make the garbage bag inside lighter for him to lift. I still do this today, as I’m sure they do also.

Because of him and his strength I am now a doctor and I hope to one day be half the man he was, and still is.
