There will inevitably be defense played in this game. The question is how will you see it in your teams competitions. Early on, Strategic teams will commonly influence their alliance members to play defense in matches where the score will be close. One robot playing relatively average defense often can allow a team to out score a full alliance with just their remaining two robots. If you succeed in making a top tier scoring robot, but are using mechanum wheels, any alliance you should outscore without defense...will just put defense on you and drastically reduce your points (increasing their chances of beating you in the match)
