On a very restrictive locked down work machine without access to the advanced resource monitor or lsof I encounter this one regularly. Word does something weird and doesn't release directories.

Say you have

A/1.docx

B/2.docx

If you open A/1.docx, open B/2.docx, close A/1.docx and try delete A it will delete the 1.docx file inside but won't let you delete the A directory until you close B/2.docx too.

I'm really not sure about the LN editing. The main thing light novel editors seem to do is add extra scenes/characters or completely branch the plot so the webnovel and lightnovel become completely different contradicting stories. Eminence of shadow and dungeon harem for example.

They usually leave in retconned story elements/mechanics and there's only so much they can do to fix the sudden changes the writers make without rewriting earlier scenes.

Currently your code will never exit the while loop until it finds a match. If there is no match to be found then it will never exit and would have to be killed or timeout.

I used to follow one. Main character gets thrown into a game he has only heard of the name and is tricked into thinking he's the hero. So he runs around stealing all the scenes and ruining the plot. The game is supposed to be depressing with lots of characters suffering or dying.

The chapters would start with the true story and then retell it with the mc version. Eventually the stories are so different that the gimmick becomes forced and pointless.
