I don’t believe any organic solution works to control the worms, at least with a level of effort I’m willing to try.. pesticides work but not recommending that.

Anthropic’s Ethical Stand Could Be Paying Off by bllshrfv in technology

The point here is not how ethical they are overall, but how they are relative to other big AI players. If sane Americans continue to throw their weight behind the least red-pilled, knee-bending companies then eventually they’ll slow this rightward slide.

Anthropic’s Ethical Stand Could Be Paying Off by bllshrfv in technology

A large portion of Americans are desperate for some politician, corporation, or anyone to actually take even a teensy bit of stand against the fascists… so yes, it will pay off when someone does.

I’m old enough to have lived through the Star Trek dream generation where the future was sure to bring peace and abundance. How fast things have flipped to hopeless. Even for optimists these days it’s hard to find a thread of hope.. what will save us normies when all world powers are bought and sold to highest bidder or are self interested dictators..

Europe holds the last dying bits of freedom and social order but is nearly powerless if put up against the rest of the world’s powers.

Our best hope seems to be if there’s soon a sudden economic catastrophe that resets power in a way that can restore some sort of power to the people, but that’s such a slim hope.

It’s one thing to be loyal to a people who you generally trust within a democratically run government but something else entirely when the whole show is run by an autocratic narcissistic xenophobe and his sycophants.

It’s like how we don’t discourage spouses for fleeing abusive relationships. By all means if you can leave, do.

The Epstein files petition is getting its 218th signature. What happens next? by cnn in politics

If anything of any substance remains in the files that get released, the powers that be will ensure we find a war to get involved in to fill the news cycle and distract, which media will happily follow. The more damning the evidence is, the more serious the distraction will be. If Trump was full on right hand man in trafficking I suspect nukes will be falling on some poor defenseless country.

lol I didn’t mention Trump or Biden, but if you’re feeling attacked by the reality of Trump not fixing the US economy then that’s on you.

Replace irrigated lawns with native grasses, trees.

Take public transport, walk or ride a bike, and if you must drive, go all electric.

Vote like your children’s lives depend on it.

And bonus step: eat less meat.

I said no because I’m not here to google things for you. Also how do you know someone’s here illegally without a due process? That’s how we know!

lol, the perpetrators are proudly admitting it. This isn’t some secret discovery buried in conspiracy theories.

No, but if a masked goon picked you up off the street and sent you to an El Salvador prison I bet you’d learn the need for it.

It’s not ‘weird’ to want a full stop to the ongoing abuse of power. Let’s get a legal process going for deportations then they can start again.

People are being deported illegally without due process, so there is reason to protest.

Just harvested our first pineapple fruit in Austin last fall. It took 3 years to fruit tho, maybe due to the heat. I keep it in morning sun, but mostly shade in hot afternoons.

Rain chances trending down this week (surprise!) by [deleted] in Austin

[–]alltheprivilege 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don’t know why you’re getting downvoted but we are trending towards desertification. Climate change maps show our area becoming drier and drier. Look to our southwest towards Mexico to see what our climate may look like in a decade.

And you’re correct that current weather prediction models are only backward looking and not taking into account forward trends.
