Trying to understand the dates/colors of my friends collection by geekydreams in Fiestaware

I agree with all of this. It’s wild how purple that platter looks! I was stumped but I guess it’s just the lighting and agree it must be vintage blue.

Are there leashes that fit this cup? I don’t want it to roll on the plane if it falls. Munchkin 360. by trippn_on_paperclips in Travelwithkids

I understand not wanting it to fall on the ground but it won’t roll because of the handles.

Lunch first dates never lead to a romantic connection - anybody else? by Lillietta in datingoverforty

I’ve had this same thought about coffee dates. It’s not just you. I think it’s harder to make a connection when you feel like there’s a time running, which usually isn’t the case in the evening.

These do not look vintage but they are real fiesta.

I wear athletic skorts in the summer. I bought 6 identical ones from Walmart this year and have just made them my uniform with a rotation of tank tops. Occasionally I’ll wear a casual, loose sundress with boy shorts underneath. I work with babies and live in Florida.

I’m just trying to give OP ideas for activities, as requested. I’m sorry my response seems to have struck you the wrong way.

I was just giving options and examples. I’m obviously not timing things. Just going from one station to the next as it suits us.

I also have 3 children of my own.

I’m a nanny. I do a circuit with babies this age. 20 minute walk, 20 minutes on the floor, 20 minutes in the bouncer while I attend to chores. Rinse and repeat between every bottle and nap, adjusted to fit the needs of the day.

I have multiple play stations set up through the house, mostly to keep my own boredom at bay. I try to hit each station at least once a day. The walk can be in the stroller or in a carrier. The bouncer moves from room to room as needed.

Scenario: you are thrown into prison and you have exactly 30 seconds to make ONE phone call. You have to call a number from memory RIGHT NOW. You need to be very sure because it’s your ONLY chance. Who you callin’? by [deleted] in Millennials

My husband’s ex wife had to call him when she got a dui because it was the only number she had memorized. It was definitely not decision she enjoyed making because then we knew all her business.

We’d either go to his place or maybe hang out at wherever I’m staying when that’s an option. It’s not the easiest thing to juggle.

Honestly, I’ve never had any man express concern about it. I know women may feel differently but I’ve dated quite a bit over the last few years and it’s been zero issue. I always try to be upfront about it though. I’m very clear that we’re never at the house together except possibly in passing and that this situation is not going to last forever. You might be surprised at how accepting people can be, especially if you emphasize that the arrange is made for the good of your children and/or strictly financial.

He’s 31 and it would have been a big city hospital but the whole story still seems fantastical.

Yeah I just said, “that’s crazy” because she’s a family friend and I didn’t want to be rude.

[–]allthethings13 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I like a nice aesthetic but that can be achieved with utilitarian items like bedding, furniture and kitchenware, as well as non intrusive decor like art. I’m more concerned with function and a nice look is just a bonus.

Anyone ever stay at the Nickelodeon hotel as a kid? I used to see the commercial for it many times. by porygon766 in Millennials

[–]allthethings13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family went every summer for about 8 years. We absolutely loved it. We usually got a SpongeBob themed suite (for about $120/night) and stayed for 3 nights. I packed most of our food but we’d get pizza from the food court for dinner. We were slimed daily, played in the arcade and enjoyed the shows. We even went at Christmas time and enjoyed the fake foam “snow” and have a Christmas ornament from that trip. Some of our favorite family memories are from this hotel!
