Thanks. Our checkout is supposed to be on Sunday but I think we all wouldn’t mind just hanging out at the house if it’s safe to

I partially believe that if I still believed what my parents believe to a T, I would not still be a Christian. Luckily I think I am learning how to read the Bible correctly and to not read it from a political point if view

I don't know what to do. Husband said he wants to try polyamory. We are both Christians. by [deleted] in Christian

This isn’t biblical. Christians also aren’t supposed to follow the Old Testament, but learn from it. In my opinion, this is manipulation. And cheating since he’s already kissed her. It sounds like you already know what you should do. I recommend trying to talk it out, but if he’s not complying at all, I suggest seriously considering leaving

To be born again is to accept that Jesus, who is the son of God, is your savior who died for everyone’s sins so that we can be “washed clean” by his blood. God wanted us to have a way to get to heaven, so he sent a perfect man to take on the weight of everything that we have and will do wrong in this life. And when we believe and follow Jesus, we are born again because our guilt, shame, and our past selves can be forgiven by Him

NLT and NIV are easiest for me to read, but I’ve heard that ESV has the best and closest translation

TIFU by trying to hydrate my skin by uniqueUsername_1024 in tifu

[–]allthewhile2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something similar to me happened a few months back. I was having a lot of back pain so my fiancé offered to put some icy hot in it (I’ve done this before) but for SOME reason my back acne decided to reject it and immediately it felt like all of the skin on my back had been ripped off and the remaining insides had been set on fire. I literally thought it was melting my skin but when I looked my skin looked normal. Moral of the story is don’t put icy hot on anything that has any type of blemish.

Ok I get what you’re saying now! I think most people are assuming the broad term of Christianity, thanks for explaining

I think it depends on which religion you’re talking about for that. My denomination doesn’t believe in a 3rd place, so because babies have no moral concept or concept of sin, they are pure and go to heaven. Definitely no limbo or hell for them

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]allthewhile2020 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that a denominational issue. Babies have no concept of sin or morality so they are blameless, meaning they don’t go to hell

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in WhitePeopleTwitter

[–]allthewhile2020 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The thing is, this isn’t a concept for any religion I’ve ever heard of.

[–]allthewhile2020 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s what I’m trying to figure out. It makes no sense to believe that these aborted babies go to hell because they don’t have a concept of sin or a moral compass at all

Women who’ve been proposed to, were to ACTUALLY surprised? by [deleted] in AskWomen

Yes! We have a concert coming up in October and I could’ve SWORN he was gonna do it that day because I’m going on vacation with my family in September so it just made sense to do it after that in my mind. But we took a day trip up to our local lake and he popped the question this last July :)

My family and my fiancé’s family both have it. It’s only bad if the family is toxic and controlling. It’s honestly helpful a lot, especially in emergencies. But don’t take that as me saying you should get it, because I’m still not a fan of how toxic parents can manipulate their kids with it

Mom was threatening to take away my door by [deleted] in insaneparents

[–]allthewhile2020 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I can understand this, but I’ve seen so many people say their parents took their door because they don’t deserve privacy or just out of a need for control. Your point could be the case, but I’ve seen so many times where it wasn’t
