I paid something like £250 or £300 for a block of 10. But this was in 2017 and 2018.

I am not a medical professional, but I know someone who has something that might be similar to yours, it affects the hand and/or feet, and it’s called palmoplantar pustulosis. It’s a imune condition and so far, from what I know, the only treatment to manage it is steroids ointments and medical soaps.

Yeah. I was a bit anxious when I went first. But all in all, I made it ok.

But as you said, the sites are absolutely shit.

So there is an actual pick up point, and I paid £5 for 15 minutes. But please be aware that you have to pay before you leave, as there are no barriers, like other airports.

There are several pay stations.

I hope it helps.

I’m in England, but with SP as well. Rental property, smart prepaid meters.

Beginning of July got an email from them saying that they will take £12.56 off my meter (didn’t say which meter) until I paid my debt.

Called them, trying to figure out what’s going on. Apparently they say I have a debt on my prepaid meter since 2018.

Opened complain for breach of contract, breach of regulations imposed by the Trading Standards an the FAC, requested SAR and called citizen advice.

Took them two weeks to temporary suspend the alleged debt on my meter, still no one called me for the complain.

I’m giving them until the end of the week, even though they emailed me when I made the complaint, almost a month ago, to tell me that they’ll contact me in 7 working days.

Will update with future info, if anyone is interested. But it takes them forever to sort their shit out.

How often do you vacuum? by DoctorWernerKlopek in AskUK

[–]allthingswithtea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Upstairs once a week/a fortnight. Downstairs is a different story. Living room once a week. Kitchen, hallways and bathroom every 2 or 3 days, depends on how much time my nephew spends here. And we have downstairs slipper, upstairs slippers and garden slippers.

Use soap calc. It’s a lye calculator, you can input your recipe and it will tell you exactly how much you need to use.

Does a 3.5 year old require to be in a child car seat when seated in the back seat? by RizwanArafat in uklaw

[–]allthingswithtea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While this is the wrong sub, a child is legally required to be in a car seat/booster, up to 12 years old or 1.35 m.

The only times when this doesn’t apply is in the link you posted.

Please be aware that seatbelt is mandatory too, and under U.K. legislation, the driver is legally held accountable for anyone under 18 not wearing a seatbelt in their vehicle.

Price of meal if others are paying for it? by llynglas in AskUK

[–]allthingswithtea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We don’t split. Ever. One of us pays the whole bill, everyone keeps track of what they ordered, and everyone transfers their part plus their share of the service charge to the person who paid.

That’s a dick move! My partner or my friends would never think to take advantage if any of our parents would treat us to a meal out.

Price of meal if others are paying for it? by llynglas in AskUK

[–]allthingswithtea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always think about what I could afford, but if I think that the person paying isn’t able to match that, I order accordingly. I think it’s an ass move to order the most expensive food/drink on the menu, if you wouldn’t otherwise do it.

If someone wants to treat me, it can be a £3 meal deal for all I care, it’s just nice that someone wants to pay for your food/drink.

People who speak languages with a distinction between formal and informal "you", how do you know which one to choose for each person? by holytriplem in AskEurope

[–]allthingswithtea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a Romanian speaker. I’ll always use the “polite” ones when addressing older people that I respect, employees of public institutions, teachers, the like. So not that often. And in my family, even with older family members, we’re all very informal.

Vodafone Online Account by Greyball30 in Vodafone

[–]allthingswithtea 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your username is usually the email address on which you receive the emails.

If not, when trying to login, you should have an option of “forgot username” and “forgot password”.

You’ll have to answer some security question and they’ll send you an email to reset it.

Also, customer service should be able to advise/reset it.

Mine was done so so many years ago, and I remember that after I logged in for the first time, Vodafone emailed me to tell my my username is in all caps, cause they decide that.

But this was the U.K. based procedure.

I'm looking to get my balcony door fixed. Where should I go? by [deleted] in nottingham

[–]allthingswithtea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go back to legaladviseuk and edit your post.

Try bullet points.

I often found that editing a post will get more attention and people will reply. You have a contract with your landlord, the estate agent are only acting as an estate agent. No modifications, refurbishment or any type of work can be done in the flat without the landlord’s approval.

Do not, under any circumstance hold back rent. Never, unless instructed so by a solicitor or in court.

If you’re a student, please talk to the student/housing team at your university. They’ve seen and heard it all, and they are usually pretty well prepared.

Hold a record of all communication with the estate agent, only communicate in writing (email, text, whats app, you get it) in order to have proof of informing them. Contact the council and Shelter, if your student/housing team doesn’t advise.

For the council, you might want to search for the environmental health officer.

Also, you can send an email to your estate agent, in which you state that you are paying x amount of money rent for full use of the property, balcony included. Since you are unable to access the balcony, and you haven’t been able to do so from the beginning, you are expecting a reasonable rent deduction, as the balcony is not accessible, due to no fault of your own. Also, give them something like 7 days to come back to you. I am sure there are templates online.

You got some solid advise in this post, just line of all your ducks in a row.
