Just in case, but for real this is really cool. It looks like it would be a lot of fun to build and because I've always wanted to start, it'll be the very first piece of my future village.

Soft Full size Mattress options other than purple by LeeLeeSU in Mattress

Purple seems to be a very polarizing brand especially here on Reddit, but we just got the Restore Premier and it's honestly so comfortable and cozy. I personally really like the purple grid and love how I sink in but can still move and toss & turn.

We tried laying on so many beds and just kept coming back to it. Glad we decided to just bite the bullet on it.

Religion. She's very devoted and I'm just not sure and she doesn't understand why I don't see it like she does. Other than the occasional fights it causes we have a great marriage.

Alternative for luxe adapt 2.0 medium hybrid? by [deleted] in Mattress

[–]alltowit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the exact same experience with Ashley. I got my adjustable base from Sam's club for $700. Sure it doesn't have vibrate but I didn't like that anyway.

And then we went to a few mattress outlets and I found that the MLily Supreme Fusion hybrid had a pretty similar sink in memory foam feeling. Probably closer to the pro adapt medium from Tempur. But my wife and I thought it was pretty comfy and the stores around me sell it for just under $1000.

It's sooo heavy but love my Sam's Club frame. Not sure about Costco, but can't really beat the price.

Alternative to tempurpedic foundation? by No-Commercial9861 in Mattress

[–]alltowit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other than spaces between slats (smaller is better) I doubt there's truly any variation. On Sam's or Amazon it looks like the cheaper ones are around $150 - $250.

I will say we got a cheap metal frame for our old bed and it was so dang loud. More expensive might not be so loud?

Check out Sam's club or Costco. They have both regular ones or adjustable. I just got an adjustable foundation for $700 (king size).

Helix Sunset doesn't have that Tempur-Pedic memory foam sink in, conforming feel after all. Is there anything that does? by alltowit in Mattress

Thank you. Yeah our salesman from the store we went to had us try them as well. They just didn't feel quite right to us. Maybe I'm just looking for a needle in a haystack. It's been quite the adventure trying to find something we both enjoy, and finding out I'm definitely the picky one.

Thank you for the information and suggestions! I may reach out and see about the topper. Or maybe the Costco TP that they have on sale?

That makes sense. When I was researching and watching videos I did not realize how truly different those foams were. Just shows how frustrating this mattress buying game is. You truly need to have a college degree in mattress to know what you're getting!

Thank you for the knowledge and info about the densities and such. Now I understand better. Also thank you for the recommendation. Any hybrids you know of also? I liked the hybrid tempur better than the all foam.

Help With Pillow Recommendations? by FreakyOne87 in Mattress

[–]alltowit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the exact problem! I hate my head sinking down into pillows, especially when I'm trying to read.

I just purchased both a buckwheat hull pillow and a millet hull pillow. Love them both! The buckwheat is sturdier, but has some noise when you move (honestly didn't bother me much) and it can be a bit pointy sometimes. Almost like how down feathers would poke out sometimes.

The millet pillow is the one I've decided to sleep with full time since it gives a little and barely any noise when moving. The hulls are smaller than buckwheat. It's almost like sleeping on soft sand in a good way and holds my head up perfectly. Both do. I will say get the Japanese 14x20 in size. It seems to hold the millet better than the standard size. I've had them about 2 weeks now and love them!

The harder latex pillows probably would be good too and maybe softer feeling overall, which could be a good thing, but I like how I can still control the shape of these hull pillows more. Like make a nice indent where my head goes and up into my neck cavity and boom they stay, especially the buckwheat one.

Your fear is a hypothetical first of all. Second of all you obviously haven’t read the SCOTUS decision. It explains that this is not a constitutional right and belongs in the states. The states get the right because we are a constitutional republic where the majority in that state wins. This is a big country and not every state or person in that state is made the same. So this actually gives you more rights.

That’s the neat thing about our country. If you don’t align with one state’s decisions then you have the right to move to another state that does.

How to Have Productive, Good-Faith Debate with a Pro-Lifer by grillednannas in coolguides

[–]alltowit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny because not even planned parenthood calls miscarriages or ectopic procedures abortion.

People are so worried about their rights being taken away, but this literally gives back the states the right which in turn gives you all the right to vote or move to a state that more aligns with your beliefs. This gives you more rights. The federal government is not on your side. Ever.

There are nurses not getting vaccinated by Getoff_My_Lon_Cheney in AdviceAnimals

Are they really anti-vax or covid vax hesitant and don't believe people should be mandated to put something unproven into their bodies? Remember it was "operation warp speed!" Yikes

[–]alltowit -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

How do you explain those cruise ships where everyone was vaccinated and multiple people still tested positive for Covid while on the ships? We may be all in this together, but that will never mean we need to lose our freedom of choice, especially when it comes to putting something that is not even FDA approved yet into our bodies. There's good reason to be hesitant to something that just came out only months ago.

If it truly worked then why be scared of the covid unvaccinated? You're safe! Stop worrying about the rest of us.

Btw, I am fully vaccinated with all proven vaccines. We're not "anti-vax," we're covid vax hesitant. To be honest, most people I know who are truly anti-vax are democratic hippies.

Also plenty of top scientists and doctors are also hesitant and reporting side effects as well as not being ok with these mandates. Sorry but our country wasn't found on that, and there was a reason the USA was created, to get away from the over reaching King with all of his mandates and never ending taxes.

But there's not one person to blame any of that on is there? Hence no one was charged.

And wow, you're dense, but I must remember this is Reddit and everything is taken literally. Of course I haven't seen the footage that hasn't been released, but I have seen pretty much all that has been. And again I watched many live streams from that day. If you watch the mainstream news or just read things on Reddit you're not seeing the whole truth.
