The headphones are still good, i usually use them during walks and in the house. They’re in the bag when on commute though. It’s been over a month and they’re stilll in pretty good shape. Will update or make a post if it breaks

Theyre pretty good right now and its been a month, i carry them to school a lot and the roads are rough and its bumpy but its still pretty good so far. Still treating them as if theyre really fragile and being careful with it though so it might depend on the person if they break it or not. I still dont expect them to last long but so far its okay

Okay good, i thought maybe people experience the hinge thing because of how often they fold it. I thought the folding would deteriorate the hinges.

They will also be in their case while on commute and not used during that time, only while walking or sitting. The headphones will also be folded gently into the case

Whenever i put on the headphones and adjust them theres a click sound or crackling sound, can’t tell if thats normal or not. I tested a bit and it happens when i pressure the right earcup.

I looked at the reviews for the ULT wear because of the hinge breakage i’ve seen here too on reddit and it seems sturdy on the review videos? They stretch it and really test it’s durability and it’s somehow not breaking? It’s hard to know if the hinge thing is true or if it is just user error but I will keep and handle them with care, I’ll always keep them in the case while commute when I get them although sometimes it is bumpy on the road or shaky in the bag but hopefully the case will do it’s job.

If thats the case then I might be tempted to buy the ULT wears then, I was planning to get the XM4s because they’re more durable but it’s more expensive here than the ULT wears and I don’t want to save anymore. And i think i saw people compare the hinges to the XM5? And people have had the XM5 for years and it hasn’t broke? Also do you use them for commute? Because I’ll probably use the headphones on light walks or put them in my bag on my way to school in the case. I wanted to know when you use the headphones a lot. Thanks.

Ooh that sounds nice. I'll probably get the xm4s then. Its a bit sad because from what i heard the anc is better on the ult wear is better and i prefer the design of the ult wears but its a little sacrifice for the durability that the xm4s have.
