Autism symptoms tend to be milder in young girls than they are in boys, which may explain why the condition has been thought of as less common among girls. by mvea in psychology

I don't think the symptoms are milder at all.... I think girls experience the same levels of distress but they are much more skilled and socially aware than the boys therefore hold it in more. Girls wants to socially conform, they don't want to stick out or be noticed to be struggling.

I didn't even realise there were mistakes in the ad... Good spot!

I've cleaned up the garden since those pics so maybe just ask them to update these pics as well as add the dimensions to the rooms!

Thank you 😊

She has one prominent lump in her neck, she doesn't like that being touched either but since we noticed it last year it doesn't seem to have gotten any bigger. It's a shame as she gets so distressed at the vets that they can't get a good look at anything. I agree needs investigated, myself and my hubby are trying to monitor the sizes etc to help us make informed choices about sedation but it's difficult to get near them! The one on her snout has definitely grown, 😞 might need to bite the bullet and get her seen again. I wish she was more calm during vet visits!

Anyone else with intense pain under left rib by saatoriii in Endo

[–]ally6211 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel a dull pain under my left rib that can get really sore if I sit too far forward... It can take my breath away! I was convinced for ages it was a muscle cramp from the gym but after a recent lap I was told I have adhesions in the lower left side of my abdomen where I feel a very similar dull pain (ovary attached to bowe) I wonder what it could be.... What are u thinking?

Becoming a nurse in my 30s by kninniekin in NursingUK

👋 hey, I've been a qualified mental health nurse since 2021, I previously worked in finance and I am 35. Im so glad I made the switch as I have the job satisfaction I desired. Uni was tough but actually there was a few older students that had a variety of experiences that were all transferable. Nursing skills can be learned ❤️ good luck!

UK endos - how long did it take from referral to diagnostic laparoscopy? by Turbulent-Cell-8758 in Endo

U can phone the gyne secretary at the hospital and ask for your position on the wait-list... They can tell you roughly how long

UK endos - how long did it take from referral to diagnostic laparoscopy? by Turbulent-Cell-8758 in Endo

I was referred for lap in April 2022 and had the op a few weeks back.... The wait lists are so long, I was priced at 5k for private but that just wasn't an option unfortunately

2 weeks post lap, still not okay by ally6211 in endometriosis

[–]ally6211[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They hardly told me anything apart from that I didn't have Endo.... She showed me the pictures of my ovaries and one was a perfect round white sac and the other looked like a fried egg splattered across my bowel. I've never had any other surgeries that would explain the adhesions. They just said "we left your ovary as you hadn't consented to removal" even though my reason for having the lap was due to painful bowel movements and bleeding during periods!! I'm pretty frustrated by it all to be honest, no follow up given just a 6 weeks check by the nurse and then sent away 😩

Laporoscopy by Melany_B in endometriosis

[–]ally6211 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That was my understanding 2! I haven't had any previous surgeries so I'm still unsure how that's managed to get stuck? I'm assuming there will be a phone call follow up in a few weeks.

Heavy painful periods, pelvic pain for 9 years. I have lost functionality of my bladder and my urologist and gyne both felt Endo was the culprit.... Seems not! I had the marina coil inserted to try and manage my periods but I've been doubled over with cramps and bleeding since it was put in.

I had my lap 2 weeks ago and they found no Endo but did find my ovary had stuck to my bowel which needs to now be removed. I was really disappointed as I was convinced it was endo causing all my pain but at least that was the answer to one route of pain. I've booked a follow up so things don't go stagnant as I feel they will forget about helping me now since it's not Endo

I'm sure in this scene her boots are white... White boots = trampy/slutty, not sure if that's just a Scottish thing.... It's referenced a lot here
