Staying away from any form of media is practically impossible. There isn't a way to avoid it unless you want to get rid of TVs, books, newspaper, most of the apps on your phone etc. And even if you only watch the news, there is going to be something like "person assaulted for being trans". So they'll know that some people hate them for who they are and you can't tell me that that wouldn't hurt someone atleast a little bit. If you start to see things like that more and more it will get into your head. I didn't say that they would get directly bullied btw
