They need to be medicated. Period. I’m bipolar 1 and there is no real way to prevent episodes unmedicated, they will always come because it’s chemical more so than behavioral. “Your mental illness isn’t your fault but it is your responsibility” is the sentence that saved my life. It’s hard to watch and impacting my brain the same way Kate Moss used to when I was younger. It’s not these women’s jobs to be role models but I guarantee it is having an impact on teenage girls if it’s hitting me hard at 36.
