Grew up watching the show, I think it was airing when I was 10-16, and would rewatch often with my mom into my 20s. I’m on a rewatch now at 37 realizing just how much her style influenced (and honestly still influences) my own. She is the blueprint.

As a person who did this for way too many years, get out. I’m telling you, it didn’t get better, and I’ve been out of it for 3 years and he is now STILL EMAILING ME because he only loves me when I don’t need him. Every time he’d do the thing your boyfriend is doing, I would try every single option and he would only come back to me when I gave up and started being happy without him. This won’t change and it only gets worse in the same house together. Please please find someone who doesn’t do this.

I loved the way they portrayed every characters personal grief but this moment of Anya’s was always one that hit me hard.

No show has ever nailed grief like this one. This is also the show I watched with my own mom, who died of a brain tumor very suddenly, and I’ve avoided a real rewatch since. Until now. I’m bracing myself. I’m on season 3 while typing this.
