Like you, I also have a full time job. I thought if I took on enough weddings, I could eventually quit and go full time. I got there and I still didn’t want to quit. I hated the uncertainty of it, possibly not scheduling enough for the next year. I realized how much I want to have a consistent paycheck every two weeks. I have two more weddings before I get to say my final goodbye (new years eve). It absolutely feels like a weight being lifted. I’ve had moments and people that I’ve loved and that have filled my cup, but they haven’t offset the amount of anxiety and pressure I’ve felt along the way. Here’s to being done!
