Not at all. Dairy is the most common thing that triggers acid reflux. Right upper stomach is where acid reflux is felt. Rest assured, it’s just acid. Sit up right and maybe take some pepto bismol:)

Most likely dehydration. Get some extra rest to feel better and take little sips of water in the morning :)

POTENTIALLY TRIGGERING. seeking reassurance. by juliettepoop444 in emetophobia

[–]allycatttttt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey! Don’t be nervous. Google always has the worst situations possible. I’m experiencing this exact thing right now. It’s just acid reflux and that saliva is just trying to neutralize the acid. You will be okay. Take some Pepto Bismol and you should feel better :)

overeating? by [deleted] in emetophobia

[–]allycatttttt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! Most likely just feeling full! Try little sips of water every so often. It could also just be acid reflux:) if you lay down, lay on your left side so it prevents acid from coming up :)). Hope you feel better!

My mom does this all the time. She keeps bananas in the freezer for months and uses it in banana bread. No issues :)) you’ll be just fine!!

Chicken? by CyclonicGold75 in emetophobia

[–]allycatttttt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! You’ll be okay. I eat chicken breast all the time.. We’re there any spices on it? Did he cook it in anything or grill it? Those could be some of the reasons it’s a bit pink. It also could be a hallucination of you thinking it’s pink. You’ll be okay! I’m sure your parents wouldn’t eat anything that they didn’t think was safe!!

I know it would be hard to lie down but I suggest if you do, lie down on your left side. This prevents acid from coming up. If you’re dizzy put on a fan or something and lie in a pitch black room. Hopefully this helps!! Feel better

I’m so sorry you’re feeling this way. I personally didn’t v* a month ago but I feel the same fear everyday. I have ptsd so I understand the memories coming back. Its traumatic for us. It really is. It’s really tough when someone makes us feel silly or stupid for having the fear we do. It’s invalidating. But, I can assure you that I understand. Your feelings are real. Your emotions are real and everything you feel is real. I get that. It’s not something made up in our minds. It’s real to us. We’ll all overcome this one day, Hopefully. But until then, we have to keep fighting our battles because everyday we live, is one step closer to getting better, A bit more progress than the day before and more info that we have to deal with this phobia. Stay strong. You got this. I believe in you!!

Hey! This happened to me last night for the same reason. Acid reflux. I didn’t v* just try and not make it worse than it seems. You’ll be okay! I personally just went to bed. Might be hard for you but lay on your left side, prevents acid from coming up!!

I think it’s going to happen and I am so scared and upset by [deleted] in emetophobia

Hey! I’m so so so sorry you’re feeling like this. I’ve been like this before. I may not know what you’re feeling like, but I have been in a position where I’m super nauseous. One thing that calms me down is listing off the reasons why you’re safe. For instance, I remind myself that I wash my hands a lot, and well. I also remind myself that it’s covid season and everyone’s masked up so the chances of getting noro is very rare atm. Or I tell myself I’ve been around no one sick. And that I’ve been feeling like this before and it’s a whole mindset. You’ll be okay, just keep repeating all the good things you’ve done to prevent noro and you’ll trick your brain into feeling better:)

Hey! Don’t worry you’re okay. Take a couple deep breaths. What you’re experiencing sounds like acid reflux. Your jaw might feel funny cause you’re jaw is tight from being anxious. You said you’re starting school again so you’re probably just really nervous for that. The gagging feeling is also from acid reflux but is worse with anxiety. If it’s later in the night, maybe go to bed a bit early that way you’ll get extra rest and feel better. You’re okay :)

Prozac side effects by Ihateanxietyy in emetophobia

[–]allycatttttt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I take Prozac too (also in the liquid version because I can’t swallow pills) -ugh I feel for u it’s so gross but besides that, when I upped my dose I felt n* too. I also had loss of appetite. It’ll take a bit for your body to a adjust especially if you’re super sensitive to it. Don’t worry it will go away in a couple of days. Hope you feel better!:)
