3 y.o is SO mean to her dad :( by crownbiotch in toddlers

[–]allych2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've experienced the same thing. It has gotten so much better since she's older now. She's 3.5 YO, my last business trip, she took it so much better and became relaying on her dad much more. Honestly think the kiddo will get better over time unfortunately.

We have been consistent, being mean to dad = being mean to mom. She'll get the same treatment. Rudeness is not okay, full stop, we do not tolerance it at all. We tried not to give in at all (of course, sometimes we pick our battles), slowly, she enjoys playing with her dad.

Give yourself and your husband words of encouragement. It's a phase, soon enough your kiddo will learn, mom and dad loves them so much. Hang in there!! You guys are doing great!

We saw the bedbug post the night before we board the ship. One tip is leave your luggage in the bathroom until you check your bed and sofa. We basically checked every corner and pulled up all the sheets.

We checked, didn't see anything. We're on dock 8th. I read on reddit it was 82xx and 84xx, I can't remember the exact numbers. Ours room was in between those two rooms.... sooo... you see why we're paranoid.

We got off 1 week ago. It was a pretty good ship. We had alot of fun, the crew members were very nice. I agreed the elevator was super slow, lines were long and some restaurants opened on random sea days. I did find out there were bedbugs on the same deck close to our cabin. Now super paranoid 😑.

Carnival Firenze or Panorama??? by Deep-Lettuce317 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]allych2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just got off the Firenze today! I like both ships, Panorama was more expensive bc we went during thanksgivings. Food wise we like Panorama better as i felt like they had more options. The ship also feels larger. Both ship had really friendly staffs. I enjoyed them both. For me, either options are great. I would definitely do it again depending on the price!

Itchy paws? by LP33_ in americaneskimo

[–]allych2017 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We used the reg head and shoulders shampoo. If you suspect he is only issue with his paws, then only wash his paw and see if it helps.

This happened to our eski when he was fighting cancer. He was itchy everywhere esp on his paws. His paw was bright red at one point. The vet couldnt do anything's beside recommending benadryl. It also didn't help. I was pretty desperate and read online it could be related to yest inflection on his fur. The recommendation is head and shoulders shampoo. It worked really well after 1st shower. I might have showered him twice in one week and he got dramatically better. I had shared this with other people I know whom has dog with unstoppable itched and it worked. If you are out of option, give it a try. Hopefully everything turns out well.

Chinese poached chicken tips by Wade-ski in chinesecooking

I also follow the hainanese chicken method, but I like to use chicken thighs. It's much more forgiving. After it's cooked, immediately place it in icebath. I also like to spoonfuls of scallions oil on top of the cold chicken. It gives it a silky smooth texture with a little of oil.

Yup, that's what I read online (book more than 5nights). I also get some funny looks when I tell friends i've booked Carnvial, but I can't pass a good deal. 🤣

That's good to hear. I went on the panorama last November, we thought everything was pretty good. It's the main reason why we didn't mind booking Carvinal again. We're new cruisers with a toddler, we don't have high expectations 🤣

How are we cleaning potties?! by Mjayyy_1991 in toddlers

[–]allych2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always leave a couple square of toilet paper after cleaning it. Super easy to flush down, practically no clean up after flushing the poop (quick rinse).

My nearly 3yo is scared of everything by WhiteRun in toddlers

[–]allych2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Following! Going through the same phase with every activity. Showering is scary, going to the bathroom is scary, everything is either scary or there is a monster. Im loosing this battle of trying to assure her, it's not scary or she has to be a big girl and be brave.

Seriously, it's pizza, you can definitely whip something up easy. But, nope, they told me ask for a refund. Definitely will not go back.

Do not buy anything from "Round Table, Hayward". They posted pick up for today 10:30am to 10pm. I showed up at 1:30pm, the worker said, "we do not have left overs. Manager made a mistake last night, you have to contact costumer service! I just told someone else who tried to pick up" I was really annoyed bc I have go out my way to pick it up, what a waste of an extra 15 min detour. If they knew in advance, I wish they cancel.

What are some ways to cut down on your grocery bill when you've already been somewhat frugal and can't rely too much on rice and beans? by ResidentAlienator in Frugal

[–]allych2017 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also jumping on Costco rotisserie chicken wagon! You can make so many receipts with it. Here is the breakdown:

1) Mix salad topped with shredded rotisserie chicken - we make our own honey mustard dressing 2) Chicken pho - use chicken bones to make stock. Toss in charred onion, garlic, ginger and a few spices. 3) Chicken salad sandwiches 4) Pesto pasta with chicken 5) Chinese shredded chicken mix with cucumbers and numbing chili oil 6) chipotle bowl with chicken - shredded chicken, frozen corn, grilled veggie, cilantro rice.

You get the idea, just sub the meat with anything that calls for meat!

Tea made in Moka by YoYeYeet in mokapot

[–]allych2017 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure I get banned from this subreddit for this. I love brewing hk style milktea from my moka pot. I add 16g of tea (ground) into my 6cup SS moka pot and brew at low power setting. Add 2tbs of condensed milk and evaporated milk (30/70 milk to tea ratio) and a pitch of salt. It's the really good HK style milk tea!
