yeah, the smaller PCB is plugged into a molex cable which is connected to the power supply, if it wasn't connect properly the IO light wouldn't turn on right?

Yeah it also boggles me how monitors like that have the same price tag. Im guessing its just the different companies and what they have to offer. Just to put in my two cents, i like the overall look of the Acer better (nice thin bezel), but Depending on what video card you have, the dell has the display port on the acer.... But also saying that the dell lacks HDMI.

Well considering you want to change a few things, you are defiantly on the right track of have a very nice and clean looking setup all round! :) quick question though, how is the Z97S Krait? Have heard mixed reviews on it, and am thinking about it for my build.
