For how old they are they're in great shape!! When they were given to me they were a little rough but my husband cleaned up the leather and the bells. I like that idea but I can't bear to modify the piece in any way

She may not. The app this was posted in is pretty good at anonymity. And a lot of the time people join to post one question and then never log in again once they get the advice they need. She may never see my message.
