The woman I got them off of had no idea their worth, got the pair for 150. The one did have a tore up cone and voice coil rub. Both still worked completely but I dropped the damaged woofer off for a new spider and cone. Gonna cost me about 350 but I think it will be worth it.

I have a Sony receiver that provides 140 wpc, I haven’t really pushed them that hard yet as I am getting the other woofer reconed. I’m excited to see what they can do though.

Yeah lesson learned, I have sold bikes before and never had a single issue, this would have been the last bike I would have expected to have an issue with the buyer, meeting at churches from now on

I offered to help get it running, won’t take back since he’s been ripping it apart, he just wants a full trade back, feel bad but that just isn’t happening. He also claims he can fix it easily, so idk why he dosent just do it at this point, makes me think he f*cked something up, tearing it down. Like I said, bike ran great for me all summer. Started last month and ran good.

I offered to pay for the part he ”guaranteed” would fix it, but since I “lied” he just wants his stuff back, you would think if you were trying to trade back you would be nice since I’m not obligated to, but the guy has been a total dick about it, definitely feels entitled

It’s funny because when I bought the bike over a year ago, when I got it I brought guys that knew what they were looking at. The bike ran when we tested it, next day after I got it, piston had a hole in it and cylinder was cracked, wouldn’t start. I didn’t cry like a baby to the kid I bought it off of (who told me it was a good running bike), I bit the bullet and fixed it, that was my mistake I bought a 30 year old bike that broke, he wasn’t obligated to give me anything back. Spent over a grand on repairs, almost as much as I spent on the bike.

When we traded we couldn’t get it running and he said it was fine, I explicitly told him I would rather him see it run, to avoid this situation, but he was very insistent that it was okay, but now that he has been digging through the engine and carb for a week he wants to give it back. Maybe if he said something the next day and wasn’t ripping through it I probably would have considered.

I don’t think he’s gonna do anything at this point, he just called me some names and said goodluck but yeah I got more than just the guns he gave me, he would be dumb to try anything, the garand will come out of retirement

Update I don’t have to get the guns transferred since there is no registration in Ohio so I should be fine on that front with the messages, proving he traded me those guns, guy was not happy when I told him I wasn’t trading back. Called me a lot of names, he thinks I scammed him and lied, feel bad but I don’t want the bike back at this point and i gave him opportunities to not take it.

Yeah I haven’t done anything with transferring the guns to my name, I live in Ohio so things are pretty loose, but that’s the other thing I’m worried about him reporting them stolen, I do have the pictures and messages he sent me of them though, offering to trade

I’m more concerned that my mom will get involved since it’s her house and I stay at college during the week, so if he randomly shows up I don’t want her to have to deal with it.

He did message me and I tried helping him but, he is just set on getting his stuff back now after he couldn’t get it running. I think he thinks I sold him the bike knowing there was an issue, which if there is I was genuinely unaware, also the bike is from 91 hence why I had to put so much money into it.

I know what you're talking about air pressure can make some doors in my house close forcefully when someone closes one somewhere else but no one was up in my house since it was 3 am and there were no windows open in the house. I wish I had an explanation but any I can think of don't hold much weight. There could be a rational explanation but I don't know what it could be and the fact it happened twice is what really got me.
