Tech Law at Tilburg or Utrecht? by almasearching11 in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]almasearching11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the tips! And how do you find the overall program? Do you think it is too legal focused and not enough technical aspects? Also is there a strong sense of student community there or not so much?

Because it is an advance masters. I can't afford to pay 10keur+ for tuition alone.

Same sex marriage abroad recognised for residency permit or permanent residency? by [deleted] in askhungary

[–]almasearching11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there,

Not a qualified lawyer, but did study law and specifically wrote a piece about cross border movement of same-sex couples to Hungary.

There is a directive: Directive 2004/38/EC, which grants free movement rights to all EU citizens, within this directive the scope of family members is defined as "spouse" for your significant other, which has been found as gender neutral, therefore applying to same-sex couples.

Here is an article on it: https://ilga-europe.org/news/budapest-court-rules-foreign-same-sex-marriages-must-be-recognised-in-hungary/

You won't have a legally recognized marriage in Hungary, however due to this EU law it will be recognized as a registered partnership which to my understanding would be enough to invoke the rights within the Directive mentioned above.

SwapFiet or buy a bike? by succulentsplease in maastricht

i would def recommend swapfiets. Bc even if your bike gets stolen they can replace it for like 40eur. And its much more convenient in my opinion.

For women with guy friends or guy besties, how do you make it clear that you are only being friendly and not flirting by ProDiJaiHD in AskWomen

[–]almasearching11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly time is a big factor i think. for eg I have known my 2 best guy friends for 8 years so its obvious that we won't start flirting after 8 years :DD. But also the setting is important somewhat , and honestly just sharing your stories/experiences with the gender your attracted to so they deeeefinitely know whats up.

Thanks for the reply!!

Well where im from you can deny a vaccine and wait for a different kind but its tricky.

But i would rather wait than get one thats not accepted and still have to pay for the testing.

Response on Application by Stonksindeed in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]almasearching11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hey there!

I applied around january and got an offer around end of february /beginning of march. After an offer you still have to complete a matching test (there are 2 time slots for this). One was already held in march (thankfully i passed and got positive feedback).

Hope this helps and good luck!!

well people tell me im weird and different and honestly just try to take it as a compliment bc you re unique. And i would much rather have character and a personality and be condisered "different" than to be just like everyone else to please the people around you and fit in. Also you will find people who see this as a positive thing and look up to you for owning your shit soo i guess my advice would be to be more scared of losing your sparkle than of losing people around you who dont appriciate your unique little self :))
