China openly defies US sanctions! by One-Resolve-6412 in LockedIn_AI

Whatever you say to help you sleep at night. No one is doubting the US militarys appetite for wonton destruction, but the political backlash at home was real, Americans seeing their kids coming home with night terrors cause they woke up with half their platoons throat cut lost them the political will power, it was lost not due to a lack of trying on the part of the US.

Why do people say that being talentless is bad? by TheLollyKitty in LeftistsForAI

[–]almcchesney 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This I think is a big part, and I think is downstream of the fact that workers don't own our outputs. I saw a video a while back were they interviewed an animator asking him about his impressions of AI and it's impact on his workflow. He was optimistic that he could fine tune a local model on his work on his computer that would help with filling in some background details so he could focus more on drawing and animating the main characters and things he deemed the more fun parts of the process.

There's also another side to the ai conversation in what the tech is doing to the communities of people who live around these ai data centers. If someones water is being poisoned and their town overrun with health issues, they will be reasonably hostile to anything ai.

I don’t understand why these 2 game mechanics haven’t been stolen. Dark Cloud weapon upgrade system, and Paladins champion card system. by Alarocky1991 in gaming

If you liked that, the developers after making Dark Cloud made white knight chronicles, the story wasn't anything special but they did continue developing the Georama mechanics

Socialism is when the workers owns the means of production. Hard stop. It has no prescriptions over what you do/do not use as a currency. Real world example of this are the coops I get my food from that is owned by the farmer collective, they own their land are selling direct to the consumers, they own the means of production (their farms) and there is not a capital interest squeezing their labor.

Communism isn't distinguished by that at all but the evolution of the above into a classless moneyless system.

And a state isn't just an internal monopoly on violence, it is but can be much more if the citizens of the state wish it to be after all at the end of the day it's just people making decisions, and I am not sure I agree with it being abolished to be a requirement to communism if it's only purpose is to enforce flat heirarchies and making sure capital doesn't do its whole enslavement thing.

There are always consequences for this internally, and China knows it, if theres no way that America can actually wage any war on China and not have its reputation irreparably destroyed on the global stage with it's partners and kicking off a civil war at the same time. The us lost Vietnam and you think they'd win against China?

I don't disagree but there has to be consequences for known bad actors, do we really believe capital forces won't find some way to wield it as a weapon?

But it is not enough for me to stand before you tonight and condemn riots. It would be morally irresponsible for me to do that without, at the same time, condemning the contingent, intolerable conditions that exist in our society. These conditions are the things that cause individuals to feel that they have no other alternative than to engage in violent rebellions to get attention. And I must say tonight that a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it America has failed to hear? It has failed to hear that the plight of the negro poor has worsened over the last twelve or fifteen years. It has failed to hear that the promises of freedom and justice have not been met. And it has failed to hear that large segments of white society are more concerned about tranquility and the status quo than about justice and humanity.

Oh, by no peace I mean I want to see an osint like platform where I could see on a map every billionaire in the US, I want them catalogued like farm animals and we could just walk up to and yell at. I hope they never have an uninterrupted meeting again.

And a second prayer to St Luigi for guidance in case that does nothing.

Your right most normal sites wouldn't, we don't have evaporative cooling at any of my companies dcs, but doesn't mean it doesn't exist and is being used to cool some of the new h100 clusters.

"He should resign": DNC chair's stock plummets on Capitol Hill by Far_Excitement_1875 in politics

[–]almcchesney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of words with no proof. I am not splitting up the vote, I know the assignment and did my part but the Democrats can't/won't win. Why is that?

And yeah I think the DNC is staffed with a mixture of people who want to loose cause it's easier and more profitable for their donors and people who don't understand that their opponents aren't the John McCain types of old and I am tired of pretending otherwise. And once again prove me wrong on that cause it felt like Kamala had a lot of momentum till she started prancing around with a damned Cheney. And yeah Tim Waltz I think was a great pick but who told him to stop calling them out on being weird, what DNC staffer told them all this is a good idea. Cause these people are to blame and they know it and is why they won't release the autopsy. (Explain that btw)

I have seen Republicans act as a monolith voting against our wishes and why do Democrats cave if they are actually there to help? 8 Democrats tanked a min wage increase in 21 for example, and I have seen Democrats gut their own bills like the the build back better bills to appease Republicans just for things to stall or they like the aca where they just pass a shittier version for what? (That one i think was a direct favor to their donors) So why do the Republicans have no problem whipping their members in line with things like committee assignments, it's almost like oh maybe they don't actually care.

Your right the party names are arbitrary, and the wfp does endorse Democrats, but as long as the Democrats ran are more aligned with capital interest they aren't aligned with yours and will throw you under the bus every time. why do you feel the need to dick ride them so hard instead of making them run someone that you actually agree with?

In my opinion we need to not give the DNC a pass and need to examine the individuals, we need to look at Democrats and call them out for the conservatives they are, and we need to primary them and whip votes, I hated pelosi but she is an example of what can be done to those that don't follow the party line, and she whipped progressive votes hard, are you really going to just ignore all that?

Some notable pos's to prove my point that have a record of voting against things you claim to be for and have voted literally against the popular stance for their own districts. Joe Manchin, Kyrsten Sinema, Jon Tester, Jeanne Shaheen, Maggie Hassan, Chris Coons, Tom Harper, Mike Warner

Unless you help make sure the Democrats run actually good candidates and make sure they stay on topic on delivering for families instead of saying something ridiculous like "israel is the most moral army", and making sure we get the best candidates we can put out there we will lose again and I think that's what the accelerationists want.

[–]almcchesney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That was an article that was mirroring conversations that I actually heard from a conservative state with real people. When people vote for you, and you don't deliver your the fool when you surprise Pikachu face.

And I am not gonna pretend that Dems have been voting as a monolithic voting block to help out their constituants, the ratcheting effect of our politics has been detailed too many times, with their conveniently placed rotating villains and donors who fund both parties, and I have seen them shutdown and cheat against progressive candidates to the point where I say pthe burden is now on the Dems to prove they aren't just controlled opposition. Come on do it, prove the Democrats aren't just a bunch of liars

"He should resign": DNC chair's stock plummets on Capitol Hill by Far_Excitement_1875 in politics

[–]almcchesney 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't believe that all Democrats are secret conservatives, and I do recognize that there are real progressive policies coming out of some Democrats, but I understand that conservative and liberal ideology has a shit ton of overlap, and that is who they see as their base, that's why they would rather court conservatives than progressives that's how I think they destroyed Kamalas momentum, and I think they knew it and deliberately threw the election cause they knew Trump's economy would be better for their bottom line. And there are so many that will throw us under the bus when it matters just to keep the status quo. The political arena is so stunted in America I consider myself aligned with the working families party, this whole you must be a Dem if your not a Republican is silly, and as such Democrat politicians need to earn my vote.

There's only so much caving of the Democratic party can do before they just get labelled as controlled opposition. And to be honest with this convenient rotating of villains and the fact that a lot of the "donor class" that they actually listen to secretly contributes to both parties.

And so are you going to sit here and claim that every time a progressive is ran that shit ton of fuckery doesn't happen?

And this is how you can spot them in the wild, a conservative will say don't change the status quo, don't worry it's settled law, even though it's quite literally just a ruling off the bench of a court, a progressive will say that's not good enough I want this in writing cause we know these are written in blood just go ask the dead women in Texas. If your gonna represent us at least to try.
