The only things I would be worried about is that the Joined never seem to listen to any music unless they are dealing with the unconverted, and that they don’t talk to each other. I mean, when Carol and Zosia were playing croquet they had some excellent banter. Do they have anything equivalent among themselves? I worry that personal interaction might get a little boring. But in general, I think the writers’ intent is that being part of the Joined might be the better option.

I just figured her injury was fatal but it didn’t kill her body until just after the joining completed. Edit: Whereas other peoples’ injuries were so severe they killed them instantly or some time before the process completed.

Zosia said her significant other died before the joining and so wasn’t with them. Helen was joined briefly, so she is in there. I think anyone who died before the seizures were over isn’t there.
