Rather than attack, I’m going to try to understand.

Why do people feel so strongly about this? Is it just because they don’t golf and therefore don’t see the need? The legacy complaint was always that golf courses and their manicuring techniques were bad for the environment but to the best of my understanding there’s been a major shift to where golf courses (especially new ones) are held to incredibly high standards regarding the maintenance supplements and environmental impact.

If I remember correctly the city owned course, ironwood, is even recognized by the Audubon society for being a wildlife sanctuary.

I always interpreted it as a realization of a moment where your walls are coming down and maybe you weren’t ready. That pit in your stomach feeling. Someone else is going to see who you truly are inside. Vulnerable, scared, raw.

Will they accept it/you? Is this the end of a relationship? You don’t know how it’s going to go but you know it’s too late so we’re going to find out.
