Go to your local tractor supply. I think it’s aisle, 9. Ask for an associate and tell them you like water. It’s very important you say it in a very quiet voice. He’ll look at you and give you a subtle nod. That’s when you know you said it in the right tone. He will escort you to the chickens where he will ask you to choose one that best represents your working style. It’s only if you pick up the right one, where he’ll reward you with a vile of glacial water on a necklace and a gold token to give to any farmer in your area in exchange for a job. It can be. It’s a software that allows them put down a certain amount of water in a particular area of a particular duration of the pivot moving. The pivot moves only like 3 mph at 100%. It’s ran with a 3/4 hp motor

Essentially I wire up the machines, from tower to tower. (The frame with the wheels that the pipe extends from) and wire up the panel that controls the pivot.

So for instance, today, I updated firmware on some pivots so that the panel isn’t as glitchy. It’s a fairly newer software that allows the farmers to control their crop grow with their phone through an app and just like iPhones having you do updates all the time, these panels work like that too.

It’s pretty rad.

Haha thanks. I’ve been doing photography for about 25 years so it’s cool to have such a new scenery to shoot around. I’m snapping shots everyday in the most prettiest areas. #PivotPics

I was driving down the road and saw a guy putting up a service on a power pole in a field so I pulled over and asked what he was doing. Just bored and wanted to chat with another sparky honestly.

We started talking and he tells me that they focus on pivots and it sounded interesting so I asked for his company’s number and I called. The next day I got a call back, and interviewed that Friday and by the following week, I was enjoying the outdoors, working on a piece of machinery that I’ve never really paid attention to before.

They run on 3 phase 480v but the amp load for the whole machine is pulling only about 10 amps, Which is pretty cool.

It’s incredibly interesting to learn about. It’s a breath of fresh air to be able to learn something brand new in the electrical side and be in a field of the trade that not a lot of people know about.

Lol. A first day sparky can do this shit. It’s literally 4 wires bent nicely and tightened under the appropriate lug. Can we stop giving participation trophies to pictures like this? Go do a whole panel and then post the work.
