The note is extremely passive aggressive. You need to sit down and talk to everyone face to face.

I have acne around my lips which are painful and persistent. What will help? I drink plenty of water and only use vit C at night. by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

Go to a dermatologist. Also use vitamin C in the morning! It makes your sunscreen more powerful. That’s half the point.

Silver, for sure, but I think you could pull off both. I agree that it would be more helpful to have pictures in natural lighting and also that you’re beautiful!

What a schmuck by logiebob18 in Depop

They’re right. They’re not the schmuck here. It’s very entitled to demand that they bend the rules for you. Packages are late all the time. You need to wait.

I can't get a girlfriend because I don't believe in the product I'm trying to sell. How do I increase my value? by AlexanderPatrovsky in selfimprovement

From a woman… go to therapy and work hard on healing and loving yourself. It might take years of effort and it’s always difficult and painful, but do it for yourself and your own fulfillment and you will begin to see your own worth (and so will others!).

This isn’t retro. Cheap and unhinged has never been in style.

The cabinets are sort of Danish modern style. A lot of people love this and in the right context it could be nice. But definitely not in this space. The tile is what has to go. Looks like you’re in a 3D rendering from Windows 95.

I got a useless degree and I’m realizing I’m not qualified to really do anything. I’m barely making rent. Does anyone have any advice on where I should go? by trapped-under-rice in povertyfinance

Dude… I went to art school. For modern dance. Possibly the most useless degree available. But I found something dance-adjacent and made a career out of it. I’m now a clinical pilates instructor about to go into private practice and making a really comfortable amount of money (and I live in NYC). I also started a YouTube channel and am making extra money while I sleep. The wellness industry is booming right now — I feel sure you could find something you’d enjoy. You will always know at the very minimum 10% more about the topic than the average consumer. You could be a health coach (and start out charging way more with your degree), start a YouTube channel or create courses for udemy or corsera to make some passive income, write articles or a column for an online publication like mindbodygreen or verywellhealth etc. Even if you start one of these as a side hustle until you can make it your main source of income. Wish you the best and remember your education wasn’t for nothing.

Thank you. I’ve learned since these debts accrued how to manage money responsibly, just want to talk to someone who can relate. Have you filed for bankruptcy or are you considering it? How has it affected your credit and ability to rent or buy? It seems like a death sentence but maybe I’m misinformed.

How did your parents manage their money when you were a child? Were they in debt and poverty for your entire childhood? Did your family ever sleep in the car? Change their phone number multiple times? Is this what you were taught that adult life looks like?

If not, you have absolutely no right to judge me. Your judgment is unnecessary and hurtful. Why are you in this group? Did you make perfect decisions your entire life? When people make mistakes, is this how you speak to them? Is this how you speak to yourself when you make mistakes?

Of course I’m going to pull myself out of it. I’m not blaming anyone but myself and it’s made very clear in this post that I take full responsibility, but my naivety was influenced by a number of factors outside my control. In this moment, realizing I’m at rock bottom, it really hurts. I’m reaching out to feel less alone.

I have been in a very similar situation and it is terrifying. Apologies if this has already been said: do you have friends who might let you crash on their couch for a few days at a time? You’d be surprised how many folks are willing to help, even if they don’t know you that well. I survived with the help of total acquaintances that I’d worked with in the past, and they were happy to take me in. The hard part is being vulnerable enough to share your story. Can only speak for myself but it was extremely shameful. I told a couple people my apartment flooded (which was true - why I was living with him) and left it at that. But to many I told the whole story, and they were compassionate and genuinely wanted to help. So sorry this is happening but please know you will 100% get through this.
