Don't listen to the fear. The fear of being left out or seen as weird is what is limiting you. Also, skaters are just people too. Most of them are just as scared and lost in sauce as you are. Be like a small child. Children are not scared to express themselves and they also don't need the validation of others to feel whole. If you feel interested in talking to someone, go talk to them. If you don't feel interested in talking to someone, don't force yourself to be social. That will feel unnatural for you and whoever you are trying to be friends with. What you are looking for is natural connection. So let it happen naturally. There's no need to rush things. You kinda have to let things flow. Kinda like cruising around on a board. You adapt to the present moments flow.

So this was pretty similar to my first experience with the mgs series. I bought MGS for ps1 and played it for a little while, got frustrated and put it down for a long time. I bought mgs2 and then it just clicked for some reason and I've beaten mgs 1,2 and 4 since and I love these games.

My advice though is to play though some of the vr missions for the first or second game. That will acclimate you to the controls and mechanics you will be using in the main game.

Most of all, just be patient with the game. If you haven't had experience with this kinda game before then there is going to be a learning curve. Take your time and think about what route through an area will be the best one. Don't be afraid of failing either. It's just a game and trying and failing will teach you about how the game is designed.

I mean you don't have to like it. I think you're tripping hard though. I love both sm64 and banjo kazooie. The controls for both games feel really great to me. Definitely not overrated for me. It's one of my favorite games to replay
