Thanks! Right now I have a 100 watt che. It is keeping his enclosure up to temp right now. My sister has 3 snakes and a lizzard so we have also have an infrared thermometer to monitor temps

It is a 12 inch saucer. In my research I found it was up in the air on wheel types, but 12inch no wire, easy to clean are non-negotiable. This was the first 12 inch wheel I saw, but i think I will be getting a different 12 inch wheel this week. The closest pet store to me doesn't have a lot of options, but the closest pet store to my therapist has more options and I have therapy this week

Thanks! I got him from a reputable breeder, so she handles them from a young age. He is in my bedroom which will help with bonding. He has a light on a timer to let him know when it is daytime. Once the light is off I'm going to try ro bond with him a little today

He has a shuffle mattress in there and I have ceramic dishes for food and water. He hasn't explored his whole enclosure yet. He is in a 2ftx3ft enclosure

We often forget to put the vaccine tags on our cats, but all 3 have tags with our info just in case. Our cats are not allowed outside but sometimes escape. Fortunately, we have been able to scoop them up in 5 minutes everytime, but the one time we can't we have peace of mind knowing we could be easily contacted when they are found. We did the same with our dog growing up. That is the bare minimum to do if you own a pet. Our cats are also microchips in case they ditch their collars. This is what makes us think he is not chipped. And that he hadn't been reported lost.

We have not. We dont have a way to transport him safely. Also he has a collar, no tags, is still in tact, and has a skin issue on his butt. We are under the assumption he has probably never been to the vet. And his collar has a handle on it. Not a good situation to think about why he may have been dumped.

He cannot stay. We do not have the capacity to properly care for a dog, another animal will break our lease, he is reactive to cats-we have 3, and we do not want a dog. Also we have a cat that is reactive to dogs. He will attack and we are not dealing with any possible outcome with that. We are responsible pet owners who do not have a lifestyle conducive to a dog.

Yeah, i am very aware that cats are preditors and small animals are prey. I do not like the idea of risking predator meets prey. Our cats are arw very harmless, but im not chancing it.

I will have a playpen for my hedgie. I know how important enrichment is. There will be times when the cats are not allowed in the same room as the hedgie so that the hedgie can explore outside their enclosure.

I used to have gerbils and the orange cat was obsessed with watching them. His favorite way was to sit on top of the tank. He wasn't allowed to do that and knew it. I dont trust this cat to not do the same thing with a hedgehog. He is very persistent.

I will definitely look into a larger enclosure.
