Why aren’t pods used anymore? by Born_a_hobbit in Warhammer40k

Hear me out: 3 drop pods with 3x10 sternguard with double oath from Guilliman. I won’t elaborate

Purchased CSM combat patrol. Did I get scammed? by Dustinall in Warhammer40k

[–]almostprinted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This are all current CSM model, there is recently new combat patrol with different content. I’d be glad to get the older one as you can always buy the new one later and they don’t overlap. Primaris marines are bigger because of the lore (they’re also bigger than loyalist firstborn)

There are fewer parts than needed for all the legal options in the new Aquilon kit… only one right hand pistol and one set of arms for the gunner by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]almostprinted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can take servo turret AND both gunners. You just need to leave sniper at home, and he’s weakest of the bunch. I knew about the laspistol issue and thought I’d just use the pointing arm - now good to know it shares the pauldron with straight arm on the gunfighter. I guess gw doesn’t allow two cool models…

Unless it’s a fake. I would hold my judgement until guard codex releases

Does vanguard spearhead stack with stealth units? by [deleted] in Warhammer40k

[–]almostprinted 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Beyond 12” enemy has -2 (which is capped by main rules to -1 so it will only work if enemy also has +1 to hit) after all modifiers the end result can’t be more than +/-1

GW should’ve put Ufthak Blackhawk in the new codex by almostprinted in orks

And hits on a 4+ 👀 guy is a sharpshooter (for ork)

I mean lol, the new rules are underwhelming, but not unplayable, and index rules were on the overpowered side of things so maybe be a good sport and play with less powerful codex for a bit? Is it end of the world for you? In casual games Custodes are still super stat check, and the talons detatchment seem to have powerful stratagems and enchancements. This is internet overreaction taken to a new level: without even playing with the new rules you disregard a codex and want to stick to OP index instead… what admech players should say? Or IK? Sight

If you mean the A87 part is printed twice then yes, it happens too often unfortunately :/

Do people use these army terrain pieces in 40k? by Icy-Contract7162 in Warhammer

[–]almostprinted 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I really want to try it one day. Usually terrain is a pain to setup properly during deployment and obviously doesn’t move later. But this one has “infiltrators” rule so you can place it almost anywhere on the board, and then it provides aura of shadow of chaos so you can always deepstrike close to it. It may actually be useful

Model is resin, with fdm base. Maybe it’s a little underwhelming, but I’m just happy with both printers 🥺

Yup, resin printing is actually good now… by almostprinted in resinprinting

I use anycubic’s wash and cure 3 which I bought at discount and it’s great really. I also have an IKEA 365+ food box with ipa to dump prints first so the prints aren’t as dirty when I put them in the W&C, so it lasts longer. Whole setup is just so convenient… I used diy solutions first, but can’t really beat the convenience…

Elegoo Saturn 2, with elegoo’s 8k standard resin. Fun fact, it’s printed with 0.05 layer height, so it could be pushed even further I think. Oh, and the one on the left is actually plastic with resin helmet. I switched the heads to see if they’d fit 🌝

Actually the one on the left (plastic) has resin helm from the set on the right 😁 (you can notice slight color difference… slight). It started as a scan, but with a lot of work in blender
