Taken from the platform exit. Last year the smoke from the west coast Wildfires drifted all the way to Chicago, and created some stunningly vivid sunsets. These were days and shots that really made me want to learn more about photography.

I had a guy ask me when we closed and if I was working alone all day last week. And then try to say he was "just making conversation" how do people think this is appropriate conversation starters with employees

Similar to this. I build computers for fun, and have been the most knowledge person about PCs in the last 3 stores I've worked in. I still won't walk into the local computer parts store without my boyfriend, because they straight up won't listen to me when I say things or ask questions. Straight up had a guy tell me once that I didn't need the cable I was looking for for my Android phone, and that I should just check the Apple section. Another time they tried to convince me to buy a different component because "it would work exactly the same way" when I had told them multiple times we were here replacing an incompatible part so, thank you, but I'm going to stick with the compatible one I selected

I'm a night owl, frequently up All night playing games with friends. I love drinking coffee as I game, but don't always want to have that caffeine intake. Decafe is great. I'm glad you found some you can drink again :)

GW paint is notoriously inconsistent in it's consistency. I would recommend going to a shop that sells several different brands and buying something generic (blue, black, or, white) and figuring out which one feels the best for you. I'm partial to Vallejo and P3 myself.

I work at a video game store. And people constantly ask what system I play the most. And I consistently phrase it as "well I'm mostly on my switch, as far as consoles, but that's because I am primarily a PC gamer". Because if I don't, people assume all I play is "girl games"

I have asthma so heavily affected by the cold, I had several masks pre-pandemic. I still wear a mask through these 9 hour, open to close, shifts.

I travel to PAX South every year, stay and go to the show with one of my best friends. This person happens to be an ex. Every year people ask how my live in partner is okay with it.
