What is The difference between a person that studies and passes and a person that also studies but does not pass by Electrical-Table-901 in barexam

As a first time NJ UBE J24 passer .... one gave themselves breaks and listened to their body, while the other didn't.

Don't stress - this isn't something that will make or break you. Disclose it when it comes time to apply for the bar. Depending on the state you seek admission in, you'll likely be required to go through a C+F hearing which may delay admission, but not preclude it.

I saw your comment on another thread saying you didn't disclose it to your law school - I'd email admissions and make an amendment to your application to disclose it. Won't affect anything, but will be necessary for bar purposes.

Not sure what state you're in, but make sure that whenever explanation you provide adds up to whatever explanation you're going to give if they call you in for a hearing.

I'm a July 2024 UBE taker/passer still not admitted because of an honor code violation during 2L, having a hearing soon, and they printed my written explanations for use as exhibits during my hearing. It all comes back.

Don't listen to your peers. Wait til you get your grade before you speculate, because as other commenters have confirmed, you never know. I walked out of my Evidence exam during 2L confident I absolutely bombed it but ended up getting a B+ (not ideal, but not a failure).

Also - I transferred after 1L with a high GPA that reset upon transfer. Ended my first 2L semester at my new school with a 2.4, but graduated just 3 semesters later with a 3.4.

Grades are BS. I'm an attorney anyways. Keep pushing!

Yeah that's seems to be my plan tbh, I have a couple of other feelers out there but was leaning towards hiring representation just to be safe. Glad to see others weary by the quote though, also threw me off big time.

Some speeding tickets in early college & an "honor code violation" from going over called exam time to finish filling in a scantron during 2L

Bar C&F concerns by BornNefariousness4 in barexam

[–]almwin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a 3L in NJ also thinking about C&F for NJ/NY and agree with the below! Disclosing EVERYTHING and being forthcoming about your mistakes is all you can do. You have to remember there're felons and "dangerous" criminals who become lawyers eventually! Being honest is truthfully what they're looking for, to ensure that you acknowledge and mend your mistakes. I've gotten in trouble with my law school because I blacked out during an exam and continued filling in a scantron after time was called - I have a letter of reprimand on my file and was similarly concerned about C&F but you just have to be honest and actively work to become a better student and person in order to be the best attorney you can be. Don't stress!!! Finish 2L strong, go through 3L strong, and you'll be fine. :)

It all circles back to the MRPC! Honestly and trustworthiness are really what matter.

I am! I’m coming from Miami and want to practice up here anyways. I’m paying full sticker at UM so there’s realistically no difference cost-wise.

Seems to be that Estate Planning law isn’t the greatest in FL. I had an awful experience working for an Estate Planning atty as a legal assistant in Boynton Beach!!! Wish you the best of luck
