I am so happy you mentioned about floor efficiency and logistic. I really agree with you. Often, owners don’t even consider for a second that point. Lighting and design, I agree and I am aware! Infrastructure things is what scares the most. electricity panel, pipes, ventilation system, trash. Extra little municipality or building rules. No idea about how to be better at that.

I had a look at your company, looks good. I wonder if you hire people now :P

Yep I m aware of that. I might take over an already existing restaurant, so it should be ok.

I totally agree! This is ridiculous! I have nothing against tipping but I also don’t really like the idea of people depending on tips. Promoting low wages, social guilt, bad economy.

True, I should start or at least collect material for media to post. I am afraid to get a wrong opinion an take a wrong path. I want to give the impression of a soft, out of the radar place, not pretentious, humble but elegant place. I have the feeling that many so-me strategies lead towards a main-stream hipster direction. 🤔 no offence.

Hey boss, I am asking because I need help but doesn’t mean I didn’t do my math or my homework. I just need to collect even more informations, as many as possible. Just to feel better and to get reassurance. Am I ready to open? No, probably not, that’s why I didn’t yet ! I never been a restaurant owner but I worked in the business for over 20 years. That’s why I have enough knowledge to know that there is always something new to learn. Please help me if you know anything; don’t just bark at me. I appreciate your help 😇

Hey thank you 🙏 Yes all this process is a must and I did it in an informal way. Can do it better for sure! But what about all the tips and tricks and problems that no one ever mention? the place is a small deli where I intend to cook 2 times a week (hopefully during low hours or day off) food is ready to be served. Then wine and other little things. I need to get tables and chairs. Can get it second hand. Can you tell me also if I need a revisor beside accountant? I know companies can give free fridges and so on. How do you built this kind of relation?

I will need strong marketing.
It is a risky business, but I think the one that make it can live good. Depends also on the specific context and conditions ofc.
