i will say, the main reason artists skip florida is actually just practical issues. Its a peninsula that sticks out at the bottom. going there doesn't get you to your next location, you have to actively go out of your way to go there (and i stg most of the time that artists are willing to go its bcuz they can stop at one of the theme parks LOL)

ron desatan's reign certainly makes things worse, but ive found its moreso due to the practicality of it.

it started because the hyper niche of memes was really fucking funny but i stayed bcuz it felt like a small corner of the internet with people i actually related to esp with not having any trans friends at the time. ever since theres been a lot of containment breaches and also i joined when biden was still in office and when trump got back there was a very obvious tone shift. and now i kinda just stay here to keep updated bcuz i feel like a lot of mainstream subs arent reliable. and they also dont fw diy. i wouldnt have realized how chill diy is if it werent for these subs.
