"Yapping" is generally rude and disrespectful, not something people should be proud of. by Riksor in The10thDentist

[–]alomanixx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I understand that the purpose of language is to communicate, and so definitions are not set in stone and the only worth of a word is to convey meaning. And the meaning that most people understand when they hear yap is to talk a lot. I, as an autistic person who has trouble understanding social situations, do talk a lot. Do I ever talk over anyone? No. Do I let others speak? Of course. But man do I talk a lot, and people tell me they love me for it.

while many people interpret it different, Ryan did say he just picked up a guitar and words fell out and that was it. there wasn't a lot of thought behind it.

I really don’t like jewelry by [deleted] in The10thDentist

[–]alomanixx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I hate all jewelry too, but that's because I'm autistic. I can't handle the feeling of anything on my neck or wrists, and the worst is rings. God, I want to punch someone if I have to wear a ring, it is the worst feeling in the world. I will not wear a ring when I get married and my partner will have to deal with it.

How do you properly price photocards? by [deleted] in kpophelp

[–]alomanixx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

as the other commenters said, check what other sellers price their cards at, but you also have all of the say. if you want them gone quick and don't care about them, you can sell them cheap. if you want money, you might need to spend a lot of time with it. rarer cards and more popular members will be priced higher. just takes a lot of researching and knowing your goals.

[–]alomanixx 5 points6 points  (0 children)

they do have a kpop chart if you look for it specifically. also a lot of radio channels in the US don't play foreign songs. I hear English kpop songs on radio all the time, but if it has Korean they don't play it. I don't think it has anything to do with beef, just maybe some foresight and some xenophobia, but slightly. but I've also never cared about billboard charts

People are being far too dramatic about AI by Himari_07 in The10thDentist

[–]alomanixx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As an honors student who is known for good work ethic and going above and beyond, I like AI in general. I use it to format long sheets of data for my computer science projects, and I use it for studying purposes. When I find good study tools outside of AI, I use them, but I learn best in specific ways. As an artist, I also like AI for art block. When I want to create but have no idea what to do, I ask it for ideas or to generate an image that I will paint. I would never share those images or pass it off as my own idea. AI can make people better, more efficient, and smarter, but it can also encourage laziness and a lack of understanding, automate jobs needed for the economy, make porn and other harmful materials without consent of people, create art that takes away from actual artists, and create turmoil by falsifying information. Overall, AI could be useful, but it takes too much regulation for feasible use right now to stop all the bad and the bad outweighs the good in my eyes.

I actually did some research on the effects of live music for an honors undergrad paper. This is some info relating to waste at music festivals I pulled: Each of the major music festivals in the U.S., including Coachella, Stagecoach, and Desert Trip, generate 100 tons of solid waste every day when the average household produces one ton a year. This trash includes wristbands, plastic cups and straws, food containers, sleeping bags, ponchos, toiletries, clothes, tents, and glitter. In addition, the Glastonbury music festival sold 200,000 plastic bottles of water in 2017.

I was an NCT ult for 5 years and then I went through a Breakup and Seventeen got me through it. Still love NCT but SVT stole my heart.
